Must be our fourth time here and always love it and hate to leave. The food is great and varied. The beer is superb and the landlord loves sharing stories and finding the right beer and food to make your evening perfect. Great breakfasts looking out to sea. The room is compact but beautifully decorated, the bed a dream and...

Some friends had had a lovely meal at the Port William so we decided to give it a try and stay over night as a birthday/anniversary treat. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome. The pub/dining area is warm and relaxing. The bedroom was on the small size but the bed was comfy and thankfully...

This is a lovely pub for a drink and stunning views across the bay, however the food is below par. I have had two meals in this pub and both were of poor quality. But the staff are friendly and the wine is good.

We have just returned after 4 nights staying at the Port William. Wonderful views from the bar and from the rooms. Staff all very helpful and pleasant. Rooms small but cosy and comfortable with ample tea and coffee and fresh milk from the bar. We had a meal on the first night and but sadly this coloured our view for...

Myself and my girlfriend decided to visit the Port William during a return home to Cornwall; I have not visited in years but the food used to be excellent. Staff were friendly as ever, and the pub is still stunning. However the food was pretty rubbish this time, incredibly expensive and relatively tasteless. We shared a calamari to start which...

We have visited this pub/hotel many times and enjoyed its warm welcome and excellent food. Sadly on 29th December clearly something was very wrong. At lunch time, having ordered a starter and main dishes for 4 people, we settled down to enjoy the excellent local beers: when a more comfortable table was free, we informed the front of house staff...

Hi Richard, My utmost apologies for your experience it is definitely not the experience I want any of my guests to have. I have investigated what happened and there seems to have been a operational glitch which meant your ticket was lost during a busy period in the kitchen. This is not acceptable and I will be looking into the...

With the view from the front, one can never go wrong at the Pt William. We had a lunch as said, 'farewell' to friends, 4 adults, 2 children. Went early to get a good seat in the window. Friendly atmosphere, good food from a wide menu, children made welcome. Dogs welcome. Good, swift service, with OK? checks. Fish pie and...

Because it shows as a dog friendly hotel we chose to pop in for a couple of nights to allow our 16 week old Parsons Jack Russell Terrier pup to meet the sea surf and sand, all new experiences for her. We were received in an amazingly friendly manner by all the staff and that theme continued for the whole...
