Without a doubt this is a magic location- in the heart of Clovelly and awesome sea views. Unlike the punters who have to negotiate the steep cobbled streets you get to take the service road to the quay and park your car. The hotel itself is a bit of a rabbit warren but utterly charming - something of a 'guest...

Thanks for the review. I'm sorry you found the food not to your liking, and i'm also sorry that the breakfast wasn't as good as it should have been. There is no excuse for over cooked haddock, its a shame you didn't sent it back as we would have been more than happy to have re-cooked it for you. The...

This hotel is a lovely find. We found on the internet that they hold a lobster festival on 06 Sept so we booked a two night stay. From the moment we went to reception all the staff were friendly and attentive. We were in room 5 which was excellent, with the added bonus of a balcony where you can sit...

Great value for money! Beautiful rooms with amazing views. We arrived late in the evening and we had no idea where we were and how it was going to be. The next morning we woke up just at sunrise... We had a two night break over bank holiday here. The first impressions of Clovelly itself are stunning as you drive down the steep and winding road to the hotel's private carpark (with ample parking for all hotel residents) you catch a glimpse of the fantastic views out to sea. The welcome at the hotel was was friendly and we...

My husband and I booked a double room in the main building of the Red Lion pub for one night so we could walk 2 legs of the coastal footpath. We started at Hartland Quay, walked to Clovelly, stayed the night then the next day walked to Westward Ho! As both days were arduous and all-day walks we thoroughly welcomed...

Thanks for the lovely review. We never leave Yvonne on her own, she is always supported from behind the scenes as this is the way she likes it. We serve 40 to 50 breakfasts most days and she has her system - one that works best if we just let her run the show!!! Best wishes Nick

Stunning hotel with fab views from our room(no2) of the bay. Saw a porpoise on more than one occasion during our stay which was just a fab bonus. The staff are so hard working special mention must go to Keiron and Tess who work their socks off. Last night the bar was full and they ran around sorting things out....

Wonderful food, cosy hotel and unique setting. Busy during the day but you easily get a peaceful spot. Once the centre has closed it is like a private paradise. Wifi connection and mobile phone connection very poor but if you need to be Contacted leave your friends the landline number and they can phone the hotel!!! The old method still...

This was a 20th Wedding Anniversary short break and managed to exceed my (already high) expectations! The Sail Loft room 18 looked straight out over the sea and the décor enhanced the tranquil atmosphere. My wife loved the soft furnishings made by the Clovelly Silk Shop, the huge bed was very comfortable and bathroom so modern and spotlessly clean. We...

This is an amazing little hotel. Just the kind of place that I dream about staying in. It is such a bonus to be able to park down at the harbour. Nick, the manager was so friendly and helpful, it was a lovely welcome to the hotel. Our room (number 8) was fabulous. So cosy, clean and spacious. The view...

Perfect location. The village is unique, the hotel is very clean, excellent food ( dinner and breakfast).
