I stayed at this hotel for one night whilst in the city for work. The hotel is very clean, conveniently located and the staff came across as very polite. I would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting on business or for a short get away.

My partner & I decided to Make the most of the chance to stay over at The Rougemont, after he had to do some work there. And we're so glad we did. Although it was over the Christmas period , we found it not very busy. The staff were very friendly on our arrival & very helpful in advising us...

Stayed here for the weekend, on arrival we were lucky enough to get one of a approximately 20 parking spaces at the front of the hotel and the car could easily have stayed there the weekend as you are literally 2 minutes walk from the shops which is very nice. The interior was ok nice big comfy sofas in reception,...

Had a really enjoyable Saturday night here. Room was clean and well maintained. The place has a real old grand hotel feel, and love the main staircase, which adds a touch of the dramatics to the place. Staff were friendly throughout the stay. The only grumble, the parking is ridiculous. The car park is tiny, and just can't cope with...

We stayed 2 nights last weekend. We couldn't get in the very small car park when we arrived so had to park in the public car park nearby and wheel our cases through a shopping centre. The reviews on here were accurate - its a little dated in parts but the rooms are fine if in need of some soundproofing....

Stayed here for a 3 day Valentine's break with my boyfriend. We both thought the hotel was lovely, perfect location, right in the centre, and Exeter Central train station is opposite the hotel, as well as the Royal Albert Museum and Five Guys (perfect for us haha). About 5 minute walk away from the shops and restaurants around the corner!...

Having stayed at the Southgate Mercure within the last 12 months and recommending it as a comfortable and well managed hotel, my husband and I were looking forward to similar high levels of service here this week. The room was fine, but having made a reservation for 2 adults and a child, we were disappointed to find no bed for...

The conference was held at this respective hotel. Thus, I booked a single standard room for a few days stay. Location:- It was pretty convenient to walk around the area. Big malls as well as smaller outlets/boutiques, fast food outlets and restaurants are just a few streets down from the hotel. There is a mart just next to it whereby...

So the title might suggest that my wife and I were happy with this hotel and, by and large, we were, but there are lots of "edges" that could be knocked off to make it worth the money. The building itself is fantastic. A great Victorian façade in a superb location but the internals have been nicely modernised giving the...
