Stayed here briefly for night and paid £30.50 for the night without breakfast. As it was the 14 February the bed had been made up with heart-shaped towels and chocolates, something I wasn't expecting! I had a room on the ground floor with check in and out was all very easy.

Great location especially is travelling by train. Good restaurant and excellent food and most of the staff very friendly and helpful. Pity about being woken up by staff chatting outside our window at 6.30 am in the morning!

Stayed here as a couple to meet up with family and friends at the uni. We originally booked for just 1 night but made a separate booking and added another one. The lady when we checked in was lovely and told us just to have our keys re-done in the morning. It does seem that

Arrived in a Friday afternoon looking for lunch and got drinks. Lots of uncleared tables around and it was difficult to find a staff member. Despite the bar being littered with menus offering bar snacks we were told ‘no food until after 6’. Couldn’t see it written on the

My memory is that the television was on the desk rather than wall-mounted or perched on the top of clothes storage. (I find televisions mounted "at height" uncomfortable to watch and I'm sure I would remember if the television was set up in this manner.) I can't recall if the screen was large or small - it really didn't matter, just as long as I had a television.

They do early bird deals up to 6pm as for prices, well there`s a list up outside, but it proved impossible to read due how it had put under the glass. Best to email them and ask for a price list as even the ones put in the rooms for guests were incomplete. Point to note, in the week we stayed there always short of staff in the Thyme Restaurant.
