Reviewed yesterday NEW

Hotel is currently undergoing renovations to the exterior and although the inside decor is in dire need of redecoration there is no excuse for dirty bedrooms, grubby looking bed linen and bathrooms with sink blocked by hair and tiles which needed good scrub with bleach! Ideal location for exploring city centre and bar facilities were good. Breakfast was served in... More

I have stayed in some tired hotels in my time but never such a grubby one. Mould on the walls, brown marks on the bathroom tiles, hair in the plughole, bits in the bed. I also made the mistake of pulling out the bedside unit in search of a socket to plug in my phone charger; years worth of dirt... More

Ditto everything the last person said! There are no words to describe how bad this place is!!!! Disgusting from the reception to the rooms. I also had a run in with the unkempt girl at reception! Refusing a refund. I will not let this drop!! I have spoken to environmental health, they are doing a visit. I would like to... More

Very very outdated, curtains hanging off rail, shower very dirty, mouldy and smelly. Holes in the walls. Carpet needs hovering or actually binning. You can have either the tv plugged in or the kettle. The only plus was the lixation to the station. Also breakfast was good.

Please please do not stay at this hotel, I booked it as close to the station, it really is disgusting, should be closed down, dirty bedding, ripped bathroom Lino, mould on curtain, shower curtain, sealant, furniture only fit for a rubbish tip, Lights hanging of wall, no shades on them, it wasn't expensive, on £65 but it was £65 quid... I am totally gobsmacked that people are actually paying £60/£70 a night to stay in this absolute dump. It's simply hideous. Dirty. Tired. Tatty. Disgusting. I walked in, saw the room and walked out. The Kebab van outside the door says a lot! It's crazy that the outside is being rendered and smartened up. Spend the money inside!!!

You get what you pay for is the old saying, an for the price, this hotel is very good. I can't fault the customers service, the bar is an ale drinkers heaven, breakfast is a good start to the day and the rooms, while tired, provide the basics for what you need. My only complaint is the noise from the... More

Very strange hotel. Staff were very good but everything else about the place resembles a 1960 scenario. Worn carpets and decor. A bit of investment could make turn this into a very attractive hotel given its excellent position next to St Davids station.

There was no receptionist, just a bar man with little command of English. My room was 2 Flights of stairs, with no lift, or any one to assist me. My room had not been serviced, so it was dragging my case down again to the bar. Was given another room which was tatty, stained carpet, yellowing bedding, smelly pillows. And... More
