Stayed here on the way to Cornwall. Nice spacious, clean and airy rooms . Good breakfast with friendly breakfast staff. Reception staff could have been friendlier but ok . Got a permit to park on road outside at a reduced rate . Close to city centre. Would recommend.

Came on a Travelzoo voucher with my daughter. The twin room was comfortable and very warm. Lots of steps everywhere. We had a dairy free taster menu which was lovely although there was no prepared dessert even though we had given a months notice. We had meringue and fruit which was nice but a little disappointing nothing was prepared in...

Enjoyed my voucher stay with meal here. Nice location....10 minutes to town. Food good...Though service a little rushed on the taster menu. Good clean room. All in all I thought the place was value for money

I stayed here with my husband recently for a visit to see friends in Exeter. The hotel's location was brilliant; a very pretty square only minutes from the city centre. Our room was lovely and airy, bathroom good too. Only downside was the vacant/non interested receptionist (who may have been struggling with language barrier?) She did not smile or seem...

This hotel is ideally situated - 10 minutes walk from Exeter St. David's and 10 minutes walk to very city centre. In the evening we sampled the 5 course tasting menu which was superb! Breakfast, too, was of a high standard. The room was not massive but most adequately furnished, and the lighting was really good. Most hotels have dim lighting....

Not the hotel we initially planned on, but so glad we stayed. Location was perfect, very central to town about five minutes away so after shopping it was easy and quick to drop everything off before going out again. But the location was in a very quiet location so didn't get much city noise. Room was clean and neutrally decorated....

The taster menu we had in the restaurant was amazing with a lovely, attentive waitress. Breakfast in the morning (we both had eggs benedict as it is a favourite of ours) was equally good served by the same, lovely waitress. The room however was disappointing. The mattress was comfortable but the pillows were hard, very flat and definitely needed replacing....

I wanted to make my parents trip special for their Golden wedding anniversary, as they met in the area. Having contacted the Hotel to book a table for them, we managed to pre-order drinks and get the staff to make their meal very special. I also wanted to pay for the meal as a surprise at the end and everything...

The room was clean and bright, with our room facing the back area of the hotel. So this meant it was also quiet at night. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was en suite but down a short flight of stairs (three) and the area by the tub/shower was cold because of distance from radiator. Shower worked very well, however. We...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Trip Advisor Award of excellence for the past 4 years is testament to the care and quality of this family run hotel in the heart of Exeter. The Queens Court Hotel is a beautiful Georgian town house situated on a leafy square in a city, which dates back to the medieval ages. All rooms are well appointed, all with en-suites. Relax in the bar and lounge or sit outside on the terrace. Visit the jewel in the crown of the Queen's Court, The Olive Tree restaurant. Multi-award winning, dine amongst the Venetian masks and enjoy the produce of the West Country. All the food is freshly prepared and cooked for you, drawing influences from Italy and the Mediterranean. The hotel is only a few minutes' walk from the high street, main train stations and very conveniently placed for the University. It is also fortunate to have a public car park on its doorstep that is free overnight and very reasonably priced in the day. Exeter is positioned in the Heart of Devon making it a great location to experience everything the West Country has to offer. ... more   less
