I booked two nights in the C S Lewis suite for my wife and I (a birthday present for us both) and we absolutely loved it. I must say that the web site description and the room we stayed in matched in every way - stunning views from all three windows over the sea and down to Lynmouth. The bed...

After checking out the hotels website and pictures which looked great, My wife booked the bay view suite (room 6) for a rare night away, unfortunately the reality of the room did not live up to expectations. Firstly the price £189 which is not an issue in itself, but when you book a suite I would expect an actual suite,...

We recently stayed for three nights in the Bay View Suite and our stay was just lovely. We were looked after very well by the team and left totally relaxed and revived. The view from the hotel is just unbeatable even when it's raining. The food was delicious and the breakfasts were the best. I do feel the evening menu...

The views over Lynmouth and Countisbury from this hotel are stunning. Our room had been refurbished to a high standard with large four poster bed, large bathroom and 2 comfortable lounge chairs with views looking over the sea. Breakfast and evening meal in the restaurant overlooking the sea both good. More variety on vegetables would help - we had the...

Thank you for your comments, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay. Apologies for any noise transference from the room below. This is most unusual in our establishment, due to thickness of walls and particularly large rooms. It appears that the Guest in the room below was very deaf, and had the TV and radio on simultaneously. We have made...

Simply love this hotel. Stayed off season when I was doing some work in the Watersmeet area, and liked it so much I've been wanting to bring my husband back for a long weekend. I received a promotional email, which I NEVER respond to, but this one sounded like a good deal over the bank holiday, so I booked a...

Booked this hotel for a relaxing break for 5 nights in October 2015. Check in was a little lengthy on arrival as there was only one person on reception but no matter. Nice clean entrance a little quirky which I like boutique in appearance. Stairs everywhere for access to the rooms so people with disabilities would find this hotel a...

Thank you for your comments, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay. Of the seventeen rooms in the Hotel, thirteen are unique in character, and we advertise them accordingly. The facilities of each room are also clearly advertised, so that baths are available if this is required by the Guests. We also have two huge Ground floor bed rooms, which...

We booked this little retreat very last minute and it turned out to be an absolute gem. Bill and his team kindly offered us the opportunity to look at the different rooms before deciding which one we'd like which was a very nice touch. We ended up in a lovely 4 poster room with an incredible view of Lynmouth Bay....

Whilst the stairs and landing are in need of redecoration we stayed in the Louisa suite which had been refurbished and was fabulous with the best views from both bedroom and sitting room. Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased you enjoyed our Louisa Suite and had a comfortable stay. We do perform redecoration on a regular basis, but the stairs get quite heavy usage with suitcases going up and own, so that we can sometimes repaint three times in a season. We currently have plans to replace the second staircase with...
