My husband & I had a 2 night stay in Poppy's (24/25 Feb). We weren't too sure what to expect as we've had some bad expiences with B&B's in the past but this was by far the best we've stayed in. From arrival to departure we could not fault it!! We were greeted by Diane who showed us to our...

We were welcomed by Diane, who was the perfect hostess and kindly offered our travel weary family tea and coffee. Our room was warm, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was delicious and catered for all tastes. We will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend Poppy's as the perfect place to stay.

Booked for a one night stay after show at theatre. Were made to feel very welcome . Offered to make us tea even though excellent facilities in room. Excellent breakfast with real proper bacon. Lovely top floor room beds so comfortable. Wont be staying any where else in future.

The place is very clean and the owner extremely welcoming. The service was fantastic. Breakfast was huge and perfectly cooked. Bring an appetite, because I had the "small" breakfast and still struggled. Would I stay again. YES Would I recommend it DEFINITELY

Can't praise Poppys enough. Diane the owner and her son Jordan are courteous, happy and provide an honest, excellent standard, individual service. Room was spotless and well appointed. Breakfast was fantastic in terms of choice and execution - possibly one of the best fry ups I have ever had. Tea made in a proper pot with cups and saucers. Free...

Although a clean and tidy place with edible food from a good selection on the menu the entrance to the place was very difficult to get into for someone with mobility problems. The bathroom was cramped and again unsuitable for people with mobility issues though it was advertised as a ground floor room suitable for disabled guests. No grab rails either....

Spotless room, well furnished and very comfortable. Poppy's is very conveniently situated for the shops and tourist hot spots. There is a large choice of breakfasts, unusual for a guest house - and the helpings are very generous! Well priced, friendly owner with lots of info to share. I look forward to our next visit!

Thank you benzak 13. We take great pride in welcoming guests to Poppy's. Offering welcome drinks on arrival is something we have always participated in doing.
