Stayed at this hotel last week in one of their newly refurbished rooms. Bed was so comfortable and found it difficult to get out of. The period decor really fits this Victorian building and the freshly cut flowers was a thoughtful touch that you don't see in other hotels. My partner loves his English breakfast but I prefer the obscure...

Having stayed at some of the other hotels in Plymouth and now finding that 2 of them have closed and or unable to get into a couple of lodges, we tried the Invicta. What a surprise. This small 3 star is in a brilliant location, within 2 mins of the Hoe and 10 mins to the Barbican. The room we had...

We have just spent a couple of nights at this hotel. We were made to feel very welcome, the staff were more than helpful, the room was spotless and the breakfast was generous and well cooked. The hotel is perfectly located for Plymouth Barbican and Hoe and was well worth the money.

What a fantastic hotel. We loved it, and twas a saving grace for us, after our car had broken down, and we had missed the ferry, and were struggling for a place to stay. Brill room for 2 adults and 2 kids, fantastic food in the evening, then to the lovely bar for a few well needed beers/drinks. We wished...

A friend and I stayed for one night this summer on our way to Cornwall. We found the Invicta a charming Georgian hotel with friendly, helpful staff, and serving a great breakfast. We loved the relaxed ambiance, and ideal location - a short walk down to the Hoe and stunning views of the Plymouth Sound. We also had ideal weather...

My partner and I, along with another couple, booked adjacent rooms for two nights (Fri/Sat) having telephoned and clarified our requirements. From that contact, through the entire stay until the moment we left, we had nothing but friendliness and helpfulness. We dined out but had breakfast and post-dinner drinks at the hotel, again in a warm and friendly environment. The...

The Invicta Hotel is located on the corner opposite the Hoe Park War Memorial; easy walking to the Hoe itself and the Barbican and other amenities, with a secure car parking area at the rear or the hotel. A Grade II building, the owners Mr & Mrs Martin have decorated and furnished it sympathetically to the buildings own character and...

We stayed here at Easter 2014, for 3 nights. The hotel is ideally situated for getting to the old town, the Hoe, the modern shopping area - there is a secure car park at the back, so you can lock up your car and enjoy a break, by walkng everywhere. The staff are all friendly, welcoming and helpful, advising on...

“Can't fault the comfortable immaculately and spotlessly clean room or bathroom. The Invicta Hotel bathrobes in the wardrobe were a pleasant surprise and relaxing to wear after bathing. We've stayed in more expensive hotels that do not provide such a service, so indulge! ”
