I have stayed in many bed and breakfast guest houses. This is by far the best I have stayed in and will find it hard to find another like this. The rooms were very modern, bright and clean. A lovely and relaxing break away at a brilliant B&B 😊 Everything you need in close proximity especially with young children who felt very much at 'home' starting with a lovely cooked breakfast to comfortable beds in their own bedroom which was great as it gave us some space too! Very convenient for the train station. Short sea walk to main Torquay nightlife. Rooms very pleasant and quiet. Owners very welcoming and I have no hesitation recommending to others. I will definitely be staying again.

We have stayed at the Gainsboro and so pleased with the location, So close to the station, handy for the seafront and an easy walk along the promenade to Abbey Sands for a coffee or meal, with the Princess Theatre so close too. Had a lovely stay at Gainsboro. Very comfortable room and the owners Stuart and Sue are very nice and friendly. We would definitely recommend this Bed and Breakfast for anyone stay in the Torquay area.

Stayed five days and were well and truly spoiled by the hosts, with a excellent full English breakfast and comfortable accommodation. A great welcome, We stayed in a family room with t.v in both rooms, Fab breakfast. Walking distance in town 10 minutes.There was plenty of details in the guesthouse to give you lots of thing to do during your stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Gainsboro. Friendly and welcoming hosts, a clean and comfortable room, train station is easily accessible and the best cooked breakfast ever, makes this a highly recommended place to stay!
