I booked 2 family rooms over Easter and was very disappointed. The owners Amanda and Stephen were talkative and very friendly but the property was very tired looking from the outside and unfortunately worse on the inside. It was all locked up when we arrived at 12.30pm and although we saw people in there all the doors was locked and...

We obviously are disappointed with this review and want to address some of the comments made. Firstly reviews should be an opportunity for us to improve what we do so that guests have an even better time with us. For that to happen the review needs to be factually correct and fair and this seems to me to struggle on...

Whilst Amanda was amazing, friendly and hard working the accommodation left a lot to be desired. Beautiful property and gardens in much much need of attention. We were in a ground floor room called the Study which was damp, damp, damp! We came home to wash everything that we had taken even if it was unworn due to the Musty...

Lovely little hotel, perfect for solo or family trips alike. I stayed on my own as I was visiting family. The room was perfectly sized, with a great view down onto Torquay, with a small ensuite. Stephen and Amanda were both so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simply fantastic and well-sized. I can't find anything wrong with it and would...

Warm and friendly and welcoming staff who I think are the actual owners. A little bit old fashioned in a good way, it felt like we went back in time :-) we loved the decorations and all that, although might need a litttle bit of renovating here and there! Beautiful garden too. Breakfast was delicious! They accept guests with pets...

It was a charming character hotel with all original detail intact. Unusual for this day & age of ripping out and modernizing! The friendly welcome from Stephen and Amanda was most appreciated with their local knowledge where our dog would be as welcome as part of family! Nothing was too much trouble and our meal on the first night was...

On arrival thought we had arrived at wrong hotel. Not at all like web site depicts. Looks very run down from outside which is a shame as the building obviously has character. Breakfasts were good and plentiful. In need of a major renovation but still a pleasant stay even though not as expected.

We have stayed at Frognel Hall several times now and is always our first choice when having a break in Torquay. Stephen and Amanda are always so welcoming and make us feel at home as soon as we arrive. We find the hotel is in the perfect location for us, as it's very peaceful yet only a few minutes walk...

we stayed in the Master's room, it was really nice with a sea view. The bed was really comfy. Breakfast was good with a good choice. We only dined in once - the evening meal was well cooked and tasty. All in all a lovely stay, Steven and Amanda were friendly and helpful. The only criticism would be the outside...

Two months ago I based my booking on the good reviews I had read about Frognal Hall, sadly I was very disappointed within twelve hours of arriving there and left in the early hours of the morning. I agree with the comments made earlier by the 'murder mystery' reviewer on the 17th of March. I found our room, a family...
