having had a 6 hr journey by car we arrived at the hotel, also having never visited South Devon before to be greeted and all the relevant rules of H&S and meals times to then be asked if we would like to have tea/coffee on the decking (albeit the room had tea/coffee facilities) was a joy and one we took...

Tips: - Ask for a room on the top floor if possible, or a room away from the entrance. - Parking is to the rear. There's enough space for about 3 or 4 cars, first come first served. - The b&b is on multiple floors, there's no lift but if you speak to the owners, they can arrange for you...

Warm welcome, quick do's and dont's chitchat, shown to rooms welcomed with tea and cake which was most needed after a long journey, we had the family room on ground floor with balcony, very clean. Breakfast was fab, very fresh and HOT, nothing was too much trouble especially for the kids, had a wonderful weeks stay, would recommend.

I'm so glad I found this B&B gem. I spend a lot of time in B&B's and this one has everything I look for: I felt welcomed and cared about: the service/attention to detail was faultless and seemed to be delivered effortlessly. The rooms (I have sampled 4) were comfortable and spotlessly clean. The Breakfast menu choice makes it practically...

This Hotel is ideal for a visit to Torquay as long as you don't mind a short walk to the centre of Torquay. Very clean room and ensuite and the bed linen smelt gorgeous. Very friendly and attentive owner and we were offered coffee and tea when we arrived which we enjoyed with cake on the terrace in the sunshine....

We stayed for 2 nights and were very impressed with our first ever stay in a b&b. We had a good sized room(en suite) with a king size bed, bunk beds and a travel cot provided for our baby. It was very clean and Pauline was very welcoming, going out of her way to make sure our needs were catered...

We enjoyed a three night break with our adult daughter at Acorn Lodge. Lovely welcome from Pauline, with tea and cakes. The rooms were clean, comfy and with everything you might need. Excellent breakfasts; parking facilities. Will definitely stay there again and would highly recommend it. Many thanks for an enjoyable stay.
