Our room had stunning views over Lyme Bay, and was beautifully decorated. We had a huge bath and the shower was amazing too - I wish we could have stayed longer. The staff were brilliant - helpful, friendly, and welcoming. The food was excellent too - I'd recommend the cheese board with a glass fo port or two! It's a...

The service is consistently good & wonderfully understated. The food today was I think the best we have ever had since we have been going here. Starters were all lovely - the crab tortellini was gorgeous- & we all loved our mains - steak, burgers & the soufflé well this was wonderful. And the staff had worked until 1 am...

On a cold wet January night, having booked for an evening meal, we received a very warm welcome at the Orestone Manor. We were show to a tastefully decorated lounge with open fire and comfy sofas. After having pre dinner drinks and complementary canapes we were shown through to the restaurant where we enjoyed an excellent meal which was a...

The food was beautiful and well presented. The service was second to none and we felt so relaxed in such a great atmosphere. Worth a visit on that special occasion. We shall certainly return in the summer when we can sit outside.

Fabulous! Beautiful surroundings, lovely staff, fantastic food, best service we have EVER had anywhere. Excellent value, absolute treat for myself and husband to getaway and totally relax, it's just a shame we couldn't stay another night. We had a roast dinner when we arrived which was lovely, then in the evening we had a 3course meal, this was totally relaxed...

We arrived by luck at Oreston Manor after having walked from Shaldon and found the pub closed. This wonderfully situated family run hotel took us in in our muddy boots with our dog and could not have been more helpful. We had a delicious lunch (we were all starving after a long walk) in a lovley light room over looking...

We stayed at Orestone for the New Year. It is a lovely country house hotel with great coastal views and large individually furnished rooms. The NYE function was excellent with an Asian theme. It was really nice that there were individual tables and no need to sit on large tables. Food and service was all of a very high standard...

We stayed here for four nights over Christmas. First impressions were that this is an extremely well run hotel. It was a pleasure to find staff so well trained, that they knew how to serve, who was having which meal or drink, and were able to answer most questions. Sadly this is becoming increasingly rare. Of the rooms available at...

Down a lane towards the sea but on entry a lovely warm welcome and pre-dinner drinks served in a "drawing room" environment. Plenty of veggie options (thank you) and an extensive & expensive wine list. Food was lovely (again). It's nice to say this but we find the staff are well rehearsed in dealing with the upper end of society...
