Room 7 spectacular view, even if steep stairs might put off the (even more) elderly. Separate sitting area lovely. Bed super. Deep bath a luxury, even if getting out needed planning .(old age again....) Immaculately neat and clean. Food outstanding and all staff cheerful, friendly and helpful without being pushy. "Attention to detail" superb. A wonderful long weekend.

What a lovely location, lovely hotel, great room and fantastic food. We had already booked for a break next February and we can't wait now. We had a sea view room and the view was amazing. The chocolate tasting meal was lovely and I was hard pushed to choose a favourite of the 5 desserts served. If someone put a...

Thank you to The Daily Telegraph for bringing this little gem of a hotel to our notice. The Coach House Suite was extremely comfortable and the restaurant was quite superb. By chance, Friday night was chocolate night, and the delicious chicken with tomato and chorizo sauce was followed by no less than five different chocolate puddings, all of which were...

The whole experience at the Orstone is fantastic. Whether you stay in this fantastic hotel, or just call in for a coffee, I will always give them 6 stars. As far as I'me concerned they tick all the boxes, from the staff front of house to the owners who have done a marvellous job with their part in making this...

Our aim was to find a smallish family run hotel in the Torbay area with an excellent reputation for food. The Orestone was exactly what we wanted and we used it as a base to visit all the National Trust properties in that area of South Devon. The rooms are all individual; we had a room on the top floor...

My husband and I had a 3 night stay in a Coach House suite with hot tub. We extended this to an extra night. It was a gloriously, relaxing and totally indulgent break for us. We had a fantastic time and ate in the restaurant every night. The food was superb - the Crab Martini starter a signature dish that...

Lovely hotel, very pleased when we arrived. Shown to Room 5, overlooking the front of hotel, would have preferred one with better view as we were staying for 4 days but they offered us a room in the eaves and we decided against it, so we stayed put. Very pleasant staff, breakfast was good, lots of choice. Just a couple of niggles..... plug...

Just got back from an amazing long weekend! First night we stayed in the coach house, second in the garden suite. Coach house was our personal favourite although views, hot tubs and overall experience in both were fantastic! Staff were lovely and so professional. Food was excellent and they really did make our anniversary stay special! I would recommend and...
