We arrived in Torquay without a booking and were very lucky to get the last room available. It was clean, newly decorated and attention to detail was good. Everything worked. Bed was comfortable. Shower room was bright and modern and clean...it looked brand new! We were greeted by a very helpful gentleman who recommended an excellent fish restaurant for our...

Booked this as part of a surprise weekend to Torquay for my boyfriends' birthday. Had read the glowing reviews on TripAdvisor. We had a warm welcome by Peter, who was very thorough and gave us lots of tourist leaflets which were very helpful. Although we only briefly saw Roger he was extremely helpful with giving me recommendations on restaurants to...

We stayed just the two nights, but in this time it was the most relaxing of hotels. Staff polite and professional. Very close to town and marine. Many places to eat/drink. Spacious parking, and WIFI on hand. Breakfast is fantastic with lots on offer catering for all. We could go on, but my last comment would be, book this Hotel,...

The Haytor was perfect for our short break. Roger was so helpful, informative and made our stay so nice. The hotel is charming, tastefully decorated. We stayed in the King room which was lovely, The room was newly decorated and spotless. The breakfast was delicious, looked just like the video online. Jean made us so welcome and nothing was too...

Stayed for one night in a standard room, which was very small I wish we had upgraded it, but the B & B was very nice (not what I class as a hotel but a very nice B & B) friendly staff with a great breakfast. Well location and big car park.

Many thanks for taking the time to leave a review and for your kind comments. We are happy with either the Hotel, or B&B description, in effect we are a small hotel that offers Bed and Breakfast with extras such as a licenced bar and room service. It was lovely to look after you and we look forward to your...

We had another really lovely time. This time we stayed in a suite, which was really comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent as ever, and the lady that served the breakfasts was really nice and friendly. Roger and Peter as always were excellent hosts. The hotel was immaculate, and we really wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Torquay. Would highly...

Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Torquay - different room this time but just as comfortable and tastefully decorated. There is ample parking space (free which is becoming a bonus these days).Roger & Peter as welcoming as ever and as usual I have to mention Jean who ensures you have everything you want at breakfast. As Arnie said "I'll be back."

Location good, easy walk into town, although up hill to come back. Rooms are a good size, plenty of draw and cupboard space, bathrooms are immaculate. Poor lighting for men shaving and ladies putting their makeup on. Breakfasts very good, served by a pleasant, efficient lady, nothing too much trouble. Wi-fi good, and also parking, even though the hotel was...

Many thanks for taking the time to leave a review and for your kind comments. We have also spotted the mirror issue in the en-suite. This only affects room 10 and results from a decision we made to use a smoked mirror in the ensuite, something we have since learned is "fancy" but not a good decision and we are...
