There is not a lot I can add to the already amazing reviews already given on here! Gary and Phillip have created a stunning and peaceful retreat in a beautiful building which oozes class and ambience. My wife Linda has quite a few mobility issues, and the hotel does sit high up in Torquay, but with the help of taxis, muscle and friends we coped quite admirably. Our room and breakfasts left little to be desired. The bar was a great place to chat and make new acquaintances after an evening out. The only regret is that we only had a little opportunity to get to know Minka, their beloved dog, who sadly passed away shortly after we arrived. It was a heartbreaking time and really don’t know how Philip and Gary continued to offer such a professional service. Our heartfelt thanks and love to you both. So to sum up our feelings….BEAUTIFUL…. FRIENDLY…CLASSY….AMAZIING OWNERS…. don’t miss the opportunity to stay here!…

We were lucky enough to find this beautiful property last minute on the way to Devon for a couple of days … one night initially and then loved it so stayed another . The location is great a short stroll to the front and harbour. Gary and Philip are such warm, helpful and friendly hosts that go out of their way to make sure your happy and comfortable. The breakfast included is fab, cooked to perfection and quality ingredients.. well done Gary ! The garden and terrace is a lovely resting place to chill and the addition of the beautiful and well stocked bar area is great. Overall we had a fabulous time and when back in the area will definitely not be staying anywhere else ! Thanks Gary and Philip you made our little last minute break away very enjoyable x

Stayed for three nights, the building itself is amazing and is decorated impeccably, as are the rooms (v cosy, clean and daily refreshes for cups/mugs/instant drink packets, tv also has a nice range of options). Gary and Philip are brilliant hosts and absolutely the sweetest, very welcoming and comforting faces to come back to at the end of a busy day and also very good at recommending things to do/places to go. Food is also great with a nice range of options. Overall, a great place with even greater hosts! :)

From the minute we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. The Torcroft is a beautiful hotel. Once you have visited you will want to return, as we have. Gary and Philip are the most wonderful hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. They have given us some great tips on where to visit and where to eat. They are very knowlegable of the area The rooms are all beautifully decorated , spacious, very clean , comfy beds and lovely quality bedding and towels..There are lots of little extra details that make your stay comfortable. For me the lighting and where mirrors are poistioned for hair and makeup! Also having enough coat hangers and storage space. Alot of thought has gone into making your stay just perfect. The breakfast is delicious ,freshly home cooked food. Loved the scambled eggs with smoked salmon Homemade yoghurt with berries or lemoncurd is amazing! The girls who served us at breakfast were wonderful too. There is a lovely comfy bar and lounge area The garden and patio area is perfect for relaxing and chilling Just a short walk ( 5-10 minutes) to Torquay seafront I would definately recommend this hotel when visiting Torbay. Taking the advice and recommendations of friends and neighbours, we decided to book The Torcroft for our much needed breakaway. We stayed for 4 nights and it didn’t disappoint. Right from the warm welcome, to the newly panelled, beautifully decorated room and the perfectly cooked breakfast it was perfect. To sit in the garden was a joy only improved by a nightcap from the well stocked honesty bar. The little touches made our time there special. Phillip showed interest in our day and remembered where we had been the day before, his local knowledge of places to visit in the area was most welcome and not forgetting the smiles of the girls serving breakfast in the mornings. This was not just any old B&B, this was the best B&B. Thank you Gary, Phillip and girls.

We stayed for one night and had a lovely time there. The hosts were very warm, welcoming, ensuring a face to face check in to go through details and remember our names. Although I only stayed for one night I can highly recommend The Torcroft. The owners made me feel welcome and my room was very clean and finished to a high standard. Location is great with restaurants (and the beach) a short walk away.

We were looking for somewhere to stay Within walking distance of the theatre, with parking and somewhere an extra bit special (this was our first child free night in over 3 years!). It was the reviews that really sold The Torcroft and I’m so glad we booked! We had a suite (room 6) was perfect, lovely big bathroom with a really nice shower. Loved the toiletries, a nice touch having good quality goods in the rooms. Breakfast was brilliant, lovely selection and cooked perfectly (local quality ingredients). We spent some time in the beautiful garden enjoying a coffee after breakfast. The hosts we wonderful and everything exceeded expectation! Great location for everything, the road seemed quiet to some of the others with B and B there was no noise at all overnight so slept really well.…

Visited on a sunny Saturday in May. After a friendly welcome we were shown to our lovely room - beautifully decorated with a huge bathroom with gorgeous products. The bed was enormous and so comfortable…and in the morning breakfast was sublime. We didn’t use the bar but it was really well stocked and looked beautiful. Thanks for a lovely stay!

We have just returned from our weekend in Torquay and cannot fault the amazing stay at The Torcroft. From the moment we stepped through the front door we instantly felt at home. Gary and Philip are the most attentive hosts and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast was extremely tasty, with local fresh ingredients. The rooms are clean and stylish with a very comfortable bed. The lounge bar had such a lovely vibe and was a pleasant and welcome addition to our stay. We will definitely be returning.
