We only stayed one night but Janet and Andrew made us as welcome as old friends. The room was lovely and had a fantastically comfortable large bed. Breakfast was delicious. A short but enjoyable stay.

We’ve stayed several times with Janet and Andrew in Torquay and as we drove down in September we were wondering what we were going to do with ourselves this time. On past stays we have visited stately National Trust properties like Coleton Fishacre, Agatha Christie’s House - Greenway, Killerton, Compton Castle, Bradley and Overbeck’s. We’ve revelled in the past at... More

We had a lovely holiday in Torquay, staying in the Abingdon Guest House was part of this experience. We did not have far to walk to the central areas and it was a pretty walk. The facilities were very good, especially the lovely big bed and shower. Breakfast food was excellent and all choices catered for. Our hosts Andrew and... More

What should have been a 3 hour journey (maximum) turned into a 6 hour journey, we were blighted by horrendous traffic and endless roadworks. When we arrived all we wanted was a warm welcome and a relax in our room enjoying something chilled. Unfortunately, we were made to feel like naughty school children for arriving late and inconveniencing the proprietors... More

We spent 3 nights at the Abington Guest House, over the August bank holiday weekend. The owners were very accommodating. All the little extras were thought of. Great location, the seafront is in walking distance and offers free parking. Breakfast was lovely, and Andy made the best poached eggs! We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to our... Before we visited Abingdon House we read the reviews and thought that it was too good to be true but our stay was really delightful and Janet and Andrew show a high degree of hospitality - the food was superb, and we felt at home from the moment we arrived - we are looking forward to visiting again.
