Coach driver horrendous, His manner was rude and offensive, and spoiled our holiday. We had to listen to him for 6 days, some of his comments included, if the bus crashes, you won’t need the little hammer as all windows would be smashed anyway, should we need the toilet don’t do a no 2 as he won’t chop it up to get rid of it. and if we burn in an accident we will make sure your ashes get to your relatives. When travelling over a wonky bridge, (his words,) and we go over the side, be sure to pee on him to keep him warm. we were to be at collection points on time, or anyone late would be left, no one could bring food onto the bus as it was his home, and he didn’t want it mucking up, continually belittled our hotel, and said the food was crap, we should eat at his favourite places as he would get a discount, we also travelled home 8hrs, and had 2 no half hour stops, we were worried that for driving that distance he would loose concentration, driver was mark, be prepared, should you have the misfortune to have him.…
We went to Regina in a coach package a nice hotel over looking the harbour, good entertainment, food and service good, Management excellent greet you and ways there if you need anything. would like to go again.
Stayed here 5th 11th June 2022, first time with Alfa travel, we really enjoyed our stay and our room was everything we asked for. Yes, the hotel is quite run down but it is clean and it's better than some others we have had to stay in. (with other tour company's) It's position on the harbour is fantastic. We had room 15 & i spent allot of time watching the various ferries going in & out and really lovely for my early morning walks. Breakfast was served & quite adequate, however, the evening meals were sometimes not very good maybe it was how they were presented? Our room was cleaned & tidied every day. The hotel is very clean & tidy. The biggest asset for this hotel is it's staff! nothing was too much trouble for any of them, kind, courteous and always smiling. The restaurant staff were really efficient, special mention to lovely Ina, always smiling and chatty. The two things that were most disappointing were; No cosy lounge in reception to sit & wait or just to relax with a drink & have chat in, and the bar is just "cold and uninviting" We will definitely be back one day soon.…
This is one of the Leisureplex group of hotels so you know what you are getting as far as decor and menus are concerned... The hotel is an excellent position overlooking the harbour, so ask for a room with a view. It is close to the cafes and shops. I had a room in the 'annex'. These rooms are over the bar so make sure you have a room on the second floor to avoid any noise from the bar and entertainment. The room was clean and comfortable with a very good shower. Meals were in the restaurant over looking the harbour. There was a resonable choice - think school dinner rather than haute cuisine. What really makes the hotel are the staff who are all excellent and went out of their way to look after visitors. Nothing was too much trouble and they all had a smile.
Food good, very run down hotel, very dated, needs updating, wallpaper peeling off the walls, staff polite, had a sea view room overlooking harbour, cheap hotel entertainment at night, bingo, £5 for one ticket, expensive, singer ...a lot to be desired.
We recently stayed 4 nights at the Regina Hotel in Torquay and were very impressed. A small hotel but very well run. Clean & friendly, with excellent food & table service, which we found much better than buffet style as food was always hot. Our room was spacious &, spotless. Staff could not do enough to help us & always smiling. Nightly entertainment. It's right on the harbour & close to shops & amenities. Would recommend a visit to this hotel.
Just had a 5day stay at the regina hotel in torquay, really enjoyed it, rooms spacious, comfy, clean, food was absolutely delicious, staff very helpful, our coach driver Ian was lovely, funny, kept us entertained, very nice person, coach travel was good, all on time, no complaints at all loved it😃😃

Have just got back from a 5 day holiday to the Regina hotel at Torquay. We had room 34 which overlooked the harbour. It was a twin room with shower only.Everything was nice and clean and tidy. The food was nice and the staff who were new were very quick serving the meals and were very pleasant.
My friend and I went on an Alfa holiday for 6 nights bed, breakfast and evening meal, we had a twin room which was very clean and spacious. We overlooked the harbour. The staff were very helpful and friendly even though they were short staffed especially in the dining room. The meals were excellent with a good and varied choice to suit all tastes. The rooms were very clean and well maintained - any problems were soon addressed and sorted. Great evening entertainment and bar, although lager and some spirits ran out which disappointed a few guests. Only downside was the lack of lounge area and games room, two settees certainly don’t make relaxation easy! Apart from that, we had a great holiday - very rarely disappointed with Alfa holidays and their Leisureplex hotels and the Regina was no exception.…
