Visited Bournemouth as a last minute getaway. The hotel was very warm upon arrival, and the staff were very welcoming. The carpet and furnishings were a little outdated, and there were a lot of stairs to walk up, before getting to our room. The room itself was up to standard, with towels, shower gels and coffees. The fire alarm went... More

Stayed for three days. The downstairs rooms, staff and food were excellent. The same could not be said about the bedrooms. They were dingy and damaged furniture, but the bathroom was dreadful. The top was missing off the hot water tap so could not be turned off properly. The shower could not be adjusted. There were no grab rails in... More

Excellent breakfasts in the lovely dining room. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Special mention to Carole on Reception and Jhonny in the Dining... More

Stayed 2 nights on special deal.Bedrooms clean/tidy,staff friendly/helpful and breakfast adequate. The hotel could do with some TLC in some areas as beginning to look a little 'tired'.Plus is it's convenience to town centre.Minus is noise level on Bath Road.

We stayed as part of a family group and found the Mayfair to be very welcoming. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly, especially the waiting staff. The service was fast and the meals were delicious.

My husband and I stayed here for a 6 days coach holiday with Ellen Smiths. We had a lovely large room. The food was very good with choices for each course. Staff were very friendly and helpful and efficient. There was entertainment a couple of nights but we went out to the pub after evening meal. There is a Weatherspoons... More

I stayed there with a group of retired people. It was an old fashioned hotel, many floors and stairs, and only one small lift. It was not ideal for big groups. But, the food was very, very good and the people working there were also very nice and helpful. It was a short way to the beach an the town... More
