Bed linen filthy, full of stains on duvet cover and inside sheet. I also saw bedsheets left on the dirty carpet outside a guests room. Those are the same sheets they will put on your bed. Towels disgusting, stank of sweat and mold. To top it off they were the colour brown and each one of them had an orange...

I have already answered the review put by your friends, who you stayed with! Therefore, I am going to copy the reply that I gave to them, although I would just like to add, that the pile of sheets on the landing were put there by your friends, after they said that they would like to have their bedding changed,...

Room only cost roughly 50 per night. The hotel smells "old". Our room smelled of sweat. Our bathroom smelt of VERY strong cigarettes, even though we had a non smoking room. For 2 non smokers the smell was actually slightly nauseating. It's a shame as the room was quite comfortable if a little small. Also the towels smelled fausty like...

Dear Guest, "Smells" I don't think so, I would urge anyone reading our reviews, to make a note of our many guests, who have commented favourably, on our high standards of cleanliness. I can assure you that if anyone smokes in the Newbury, I know about it! Secondly, if the towels smelt of anything, it would have been the washing...

We stayed here from 25th to 28th September, a group of four friends sharing 2 rooms. Firstly, the welcome, or should I say lack of. We were presented with a list of terms and conditions to be signed warning us not to bring takeaway food or visitors in the hotel under any circumstances. The manager demanded the money upfront. We...

Dear Guest, Many thanks for taking the time to write your review, although I do think that what you are saying is a little misleading! When you booked the rooms, you were informed that payment is requested on arrival (not demanded!) and as always, we were very pleasant and helpful, answering any questions etc. so I think that you are...

We decided on a last minute break and picked Bournemouth. Booked in early with no problems, twin room at the top of the house overlooking the road, probably not suitable for guests with walking difficulties, but was OK for us. Room was small but clean had plenty of storage and tv, bathroom was extremely spacious, great shower, no bath, very...

Dear Roger, Many thanks for taking the time to write your review. So pleased that you enjoyed your holiday in Bournemouth, it is a beautiful place, although the walk up the cliff can be a bit daunting if you are not used to it. There is a lift at the end of St. Michaels road, just a short walk from...

Recently stayed at the Newbury Hotel for 3 nights and while the room seemed clean and tidy, the parking situation definitely tainted our stay. The website lists free parking to guests of Newbury Hotel - this was taken into consideration when comparing with other hotels and booking. However, on arrival we were told that only one space PER BOOKING is...

Dear Guest, Many thanks for taking the time to write your review. I do think that you are being a little unfair, by rating us with "two" out of "five", which is based purely on the car park!!! Considering the fact that the car parking is FREE!!! and the rating should be on the things that you are charged for...

We can honestly say we didn't have any complaints to make. The shower was shared but that didn't bother us...there were no queues for a shower or the toilet. Bed clean comfortable. The owners always acknowledged us and took an interest. It's right next to the beach...perfect and car space perfect! Some of the reviews are ridiculous lols why would...

This is rated a 4 star hotel, and it's not even a 1 star. It's a hostel, this place needs to be inspected, because it's giving customers false impressions, this is also advertised as a bed and breakfast. Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to write your review, it gives me a chance to clarify something. The Newbury Hotel, is not a hotel, it is a guesthouse and always has been. This is stated in the description of the property. When the Victorian buildings, in this road were converted into guesthouses, many years ago, they were...

The location of the hotel was great. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself is very outdated like a lot of other British hotels on the coast.
