Beautiful old country house run by a friendly couple full of advice on what to see and where to eat. Accommodation very clean and comfortable. Lovely breakfast. On the main A35 so a bit noisy during the day, but traffic minimal at night. At the time of visiting the local pub/restaurant was shut so had to drive out for evening... More

We and the dog spent two nights at this B&B. The room was cosy - we couldn't both walk around the bottom of the bed by the door at the same time as not enough room to pass each other. There was a sink in the room but the private bathroom (not ensuite) was a short way down the corridor... More

Lovely couple made feel us all very welcome. Breakfast was really good, very handy location. It's on a main road opposite a gorgeous church. In the day there's lots of traffic but at night not a sound. ..The house is old and beautiful with lots of character. We will use again.

I stayed at Churchview while visiting Dorchester and Tolpuddle. It's a very comfortable guest house with friendly owners, spotlessly clean, free parking and wifi and great breakfasts. This part of Dorset is very attractive with lots of interesting history and landmarks, and Churchview Guest House makes a good base.

Bedroom and bathroom good, guest saloon comfortable, very good breakfast. Drawback is house is right on A35. If you are a light sleeper in road facing rooms you may have a disturbed night. Location for visiting Hardy country, Jurassic coast, etc. A wonderful area to visit.

We enjoyed a comfortable stay here. The hosts are very friendly and offer guidance about places to visit and where to eat, with loads of maps, guides and brochures available. The Guest House is situated on a main road - the A35 - which made us wonder if traffic noise would disturb us. In the event, it didn't, as there... More

A very comfortable stay, with most accommodating hosts. Delicious breakfast with our vegetarian and coeliac diets well catered for. We received helpful advice on local places of interest, making an unplanned break much more organised for us, and our four-legged friend.

Very friendly staff, very nice and cosy rooms inside a beautiful 300 year old building with plenty of character. Along with a lovely fried breakfast with plenty of tea, coffee and whatever you'd want. Only issue was noisy guests on the floor above which was down to ignorance and no fault of the B&B.

We stayed at the churchview for one night on way to Devon. What a great place! We had a clean, comfy room at the front of the B & B. Breakfast was out of this world, lovely full english and toast with home -made marmalade after. The owners were very friendly and very helpful on recommending places to visit. There... More

This B&B is located in the perfect spot for a holiday in Dorset. Close to the Jurassic Coast and Corfe Castle, and actually on the road that leads in either direction. The homemade marmalade, as everyone says, is delicious; parking do-able; and noise wasn't a problem as we were in a room facing the garden. The hosts are incredibly efficient,... More
