We passed it on the way from the Market to the town and went back later for lunch. Had the 3 course set menu, exceptional value, home made and very good. The pub has very comfortable furniture and is very cosy and welcoming. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We would definitely go again when we are in the...

We have eaten here before, and it was very good for a pub menu. This weekend we went with friends for Sunday lunch, and it was very acceptable. A very well presented meal with decent portion size. This may not be a la carte, but it offers very good value for money for decent food. We will return as it...

We came across the pub by chance when looking for somewhere to eat with our friends. The pub was spacious and family friendly with lovely big tables and helpful staff. The choice of food was good and arrived quickly. Although one meal was forgotten, the staff dealt with this quickly and did not charge for it. All in all, a...

Hotel room clean but tired dark & cell like. We had to have the door open to feel relief, but opened onto the carpark so was not safe. Bed linen spotless. Parking is an issue. Breakfast times were hit & miss could not rely on them. Food what little I had was ok. Some bar staff were rude and rush...

It looks like the pub has been here for many years, then purchased and renovated some attached stables as hotel rooms. The rooms, though fairly large are in dire need of a renovation. The carpets are very dirty, the beds looked as though they hadn't really been made up from the last guest and the parking is very limited. The...

outside looks great, inside a different story, dark, cold feel and the piped music was rubbish, as for the food the portion size was small and only just warm, when we looked for staff to complain nobody was to be found, we asked the locals if they knew where to find them and got no reply,

This hotel offers very basic accommodation,It smelt damp and wasn't very warm on a really cold night. The parking was free, but there wasn't much of it. Having said all this the breakfast was very good. In short it is typical pub accommodation, at a fairly high price.
