We have just returned from two nights stay at The Greyhound Inn. Lovely accommodation, wonderful food, a very warm welcome and friendly helpful staff. The popular restaurant has a wonderful menu plus specials board. I like vegetarian food and loved the veggie options. Meat eaters are also spoilt for choice with lovely fish options too. Lovely spacious room (called Maisie...

First time staying in Devon, and could not have had better accommodation, and one at such fantastic value. The Greyhound Inn provides a welcoming atmosphere, with an almost hunting lodge-esc feel. Staff are friendly and eager to help, with the kitchen staff providing a delicious and varied assortment of choices for dinner (even catering for a couple of us with...

Initially we were surprised at quite how isolated this place is - 15 mins drive out of Dorchester, and the only pub/restaurant in a tiny and very quiet village - we usually like to have an alternative evening dining choice just in case the menu is very limited. However, we need not have feared. The food here is very good,...

Great food. Restaurant has a welcoming fire and a really full menu with lots of specials on the board. Friendly staff that always did all they could to help. Great shower really powerful over a huge deep bath. No good if you have difficulty getting in and out of the bath but great if you want to soak.Limited mobile phone...

We stayed just the one night in a dog friendly room. A lovely hotel in a peaceful rural location. Room was clean and comfy and we had a lovely view but was a little small so would book a larger room next time. Food in the evening was excellent, good selection and proper specials. It was busy but the service...

My wife and myself have just had a great weekend away and The Greyhound Inn was a key part of it. The host, Matthew, could not have done more to make us feel genuinely valued and welcome guests. Our room was small but adequate for a weekend, it was very clean and had everything we needed. The pub has a...

This is my third visit to the Greyhound to stay and eat. The rooms are clean and cosy and beds very comfortable. There are videos, books and boots for walkers. The bar/restaurant is warm and cosy with a great welcome and excellent food and a range of excellent local beers. I ate faggots and mustard mash one night and sea...

Had a very enjoyable lunch, food was cooked perfectly. Treated my parents for a meal out for my mums birthday which she enjoyed. Great staff and very welcoming. Sat near a roaring log fire. Great decor, will be eating there again soon. Worth the five minute trip from town. Great location.

We stayed after a horrible drive and felt so at home and comfortable. Great food and lovely room. Breakfast also tasty. We even got some bacon for Our greyhound who thought it was just the ticket too! Pretty village and near cerne Abbas. They provide wellies which was a great touch and much appreciated in the wet weather.

We had our latest car rally finishing here. Some of our group are very fussy customers but we all had a very good meal and staff very friendly and efficient. Also good value for money. So good in fact we are going there for our Christmas trip!
