My husband and I are in the way to Maiden Newton to see family. Husband wanted to stop on the way so I told him not to tell me where we were going to stay once booked. When we pulled up I was very impressed. It looks like a castle and has a lovely feel to it. Very comfy rooms....

Visited Swanage this week and stayed at the hotel. Think I got one of the nicer larger rooms so happy with choice. Food in restaurant good, nice steak and breakfast good. Service very good. Hotel has nice original features so pleasant to stay here and staff helpful. Feel there could be an opportunity to introduce a small range of craft,...

However the service was excellent and all of us (6) were made very welcome, the food was well...

Just returned from a nostalgic trip to Swanage and stayed at the Purbeck House Hotel. What a fantastic Hotel. A period building with tons of character and charm complimented by Staff who couldn't have been more helpful. The breakfast's are of particular note since they are of generous portions and everything is cooked fresh. My only query is - why...

We arrived at the hotel without having booked in advance. We were given a superior room for the price of a standard room. As you can imagine we were very pleased. The room was exceptionally clean with a large comfortable bed. The breakfast was very tasty with good quality food and plenty of choice . I would most definitely return...

We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and ate in the bar 1875 one evening on steak night. The food was well cooked and good...

Outstanding hotel with friendly staff and first class accommodation. We stayed in a comfortable large superior room in the main hotel overlooking the garden. It was evident that the decor had been chosen with care. Guests staying should try out the restaurant - the food is excellent.
