My family and I stayedat the Purbeck Hotel & Louisa Lodge over the May bank holiday and found the hotel to have good facilities with staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel if you want to stay in Swanage, it is definitely good value for money. We will almost certainly be back!

A late decision to have a weekend away with our 2yr old son in Swanage had me ringing around on a Friday afternoon trying to find hotel room. 5 calls down and I tried the Purbeck House Hotel. They had a family room available in the Louisa Lodge which we took. The hotel was ideally situated with beautiful gardens and...

We arrived at 5.30pm and collected the keys to our room, upon entering we saw empty wine and lemonade bottles, piles of wet towels and a sink full of crockery, the room had not been serviced, not a great start. We were given another room, which was clean and luckily for us much nicer than the first one which was...

We have been coming to stay here for over 15 years. It goes from strength to strength. Breakfast is tasty and the cleanliness of the rooms are very good - we stayed in the lodge and our room had a lovely sea view outdoor balcony. All the staff are really friendly and professional. Infact, we liked our stay soooo..much that...

Lovely staff, nice setting we would have preferred to stay in the main house rather than the lodge although it was clean and comfortable being given the option would have been nice. Very nice breakfast.

A really nice stay in an interesting building. Driving up towards the Hotel and realising that it was where we would be staying was fun, as it creates quite an imposing sight as you come up the hill. The location is great, the room was impressive and the staff were all very friendly indeed. And the breakfast in the morning...

Great High Street location. Minutes from the beach. Very comfy room with all amenities. Decor is a bit dated but no matter. Scrummy breakfast in the conservatory. Buffet of fruit, cereals, toast, meat, salmon and then full English. Very good value. We also had dinner in what was the chapel (hotel was a convent school in one of its many...

Parked in very large car park, didn't take luggage into main hotel as I knew I was staying in annex (Louisa Lodge) Good welcome on checking in with all amenities explained and wifi code told. Told where room was, so left my bag and coat there, before going to car and bringing in my luggage - all very easy. My...

My friend and I stayed at this hotel as part of a walking group holiday. It's a delightful place with loads of original features to the main building of the hotel. Our room was in Louisa Lodge, a newer annexe to the hotel, a large room with space to unpack and unwind. Tea tray with biscuits replenished each day, and...

Perfect base for exploring Swanage and nearby area. Very accommodating hotel with friendly staff and good food. Large conservatory dining room at the back of the hotel which was good for us as we were there as a large group.
