Me and a friend decided to travel to brighton for the weekend, looking at the website for this hotel we thought it would be stunning,Some very clever camera angles have been used as it is an absolute joke, we booked on a site that stated they had parking, which they do NOT, after saying to the gormless, dirty scruffy owner about...

first of all we looked at the website saw it was a nice looking place and thought we would be comfortable for our weekend away how rong could we be, when we first arrived we were greeted with a rude scruffy looking man that just wanted to take your money and not even show the slightest bit of interest in...

Against my better judgement I took a chance on the Leona House. Drawn by the central location and promise of "boutique" luxury coupled with an impressive web site impressed. How bad could it be? Greeted by the scruffy proprietor into the dingy narrow pit my second mistake was to hand over my credit card. Why would you ask for the...

Petrona, Owner at Leona House, responded to this review

Having today read the review dated 1st November 2009. I feel I have to respond to put matters straight and also to comment on some of the other bad reviews we've been getting recently. Firstly, Leona House is a seven bed room Guest House, four star rated we are not a "boutique hotel " nowhere on our website we mention...

My partner and I treated ourselves to 3 nights (minimum stay over Bank Holiday and not cheap at £110 per night) at Leona House after being seduced by the boutique style website and beautiful photography. We were so disappointed! The hotel smelt of damp and was a lot shabbier than the photos illustrated. On arrival we were greeted by a...

I don't think so sonny Jim. The writing was on the wall from the moment we set foot in the room. A pack of ear plugs provided, cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and piles of dust behind the bed. Having booked the hotel for our first anniversary, after it being described as a boutique hotel we were disappointed to say...

Good job we were only there for two nights The Landlord was very abrupt and unfriendly although the Landlady was very pleasent. The room was fine although not as nice as shown on internet. Having said all...

We had a room at the very top floor where we could see the ocean if we put our heads out of the window. We had a very cute room (thank you for the fan, there was a heatwave in Brighton when we stayed there so it was much appreciated). Great location close to the beach / the Lanes /...

We went for our anniversary and hardly had any sleep because there are 2 clubs over the road. One shut at 3.30 am when the bar staff then brought out all the bags of bottles and put them in the recycling outside. The other club shuts at 5.30am and then you get all the shouting and swearing as everyone leaves....

Stayed here for 4 nights as part of a conference, great location for this and the city centre. Found the male owner quite terse but Hazel was lovely and very welcoming. Room itself was spacious and very stylish. Comfortable bed and large tv. Breakfast was great and very filling. Overall a very enjoyable stay.
