We recently stayed at The Cloudsley for a weekend break. The very large room - with a four poster bed - was full of character with plenty of storage, comfy chairs and "real" tea and coffee (a jug of fresh milk was given to us to keep in the small fridge in the bedroom). The breakfast was very good and...

I have waited some time to write this. I married a girl from Hastings and we often return there from abroad. This time we needed accommodation and were drawn by the Cloudesley's location and descriptions, but it was not easy to visualise how bedrooms named after medieval Persian poets, artwork, and flowers would fit in with the practicalities of a...

Stewed here for 2 nights recently. The property has been refurbished to a high standard and we were very pleased with our choice. The host was welcoming , informative and a Chelsea gold medal winner and acclaimed photographer to boot. The wifi is being up graded which will help. The breakfast was exceptional with organic produce, fresh juices and fruit,...

Absolutely fantastic B+B. Great vibe, stunning decor, lovely room and super comfy bed, plus an outstanding breakfast. It's a tiny bit tucked in from the sea front, just a 10 min walk, but personally think that's part of it's charm as you feel like you're in a personal, lovely and cool neighbourhood. I noticed it's very near St Leonards train...

An excellent stay at The Cloudsley, from arrival to departure this bed and breakfast accommodation is up there with the best we have stayed in. The owner and staff members were really pleasant and nothing seemed to be any trouble, including a request for something for breakfast not usually on the menu, breakfast was plentiful, both in choice and quality....

Stayed for the weekend at the end of September. Fabulous bedroom, really comfy bed, bathroom small but well designed. Lovely breakfast, great to start with fresh fruit, and breakfast staff were helpful. Nice to have choice of CDs as music for breakfast too. Owner was very friendly and helpful and enjoyed explained his plans for the remaining parts of the...

Spent a wonderful three nights at the Cloudesley over a long weekend in August for our wedding anniversary (party of three in two rooms) and we were thrilled with our choice. The rooms were comfortably chic with the kinds of art, furnishings, scattered books and attention to detail we enjoy. The owner was the most attentive and accommodating host imaginable;...

At the door it says it's AA 5 Star B&B and having stayed there I wouldn't disagree. The owner showed us around and carefully explained everything. Our room was at the top of the house, very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, we had the omelette which was superb, but there was also a fruit plate whilst we waited for...

Thank you for confirming the quality standards at this B&B. We certainly do try to remain competitive and of all the 5 star B&Bs in this area are likely by far the cheapest. The breakfast you so enjoyed costs several times more than bog standard establishments. This is why you could tell there was a difference, as they say. A...

I'm sorry my trip to Hastings only requited me to stay one night at The Cloudesley. I would have loved to have stayed for longer. The ambience created by the charming and witty host and the eclectic decor throughout the house made for a very serene break away. My room was quiet, clean, stylish and very comfortable, with lovely bedlinen...

Went here as we needed a break from the city, we were looking for a quiet place with good beds and breakfast. This place perfectly matched what we were looking for. The host is very friendly and cooks delicious omelettes. Bathrooms are tiny but the rooms are nice, well decorated with excellent beds. I recommend this place!
