We loved our visit to the Swan House and to Hastings in September-- a great jumping-off point for the southern England area. The B&B is charming, clean, cozy, and in a great location for being able to walk around the town. We stayed in the Renaissance room and wished the weather was a bit better to enjoy the terrace in...

We couldn't have asked for more, lovely accommodation, location, host and breakfast. We would go back anytime and didn't want to leave. Great welcome with open fire, and gorgeous room. Such a great location and lots to explore in old town.

Brendan's B&B is exactly what I hope for: friendly, old building full of charm, beautifully appointed, great breakfast, familiar atmosphere. All the people there were helpful and friendly. We would definitely visit again.

My son booked this for us as a shared Christmas gift. What a pleasant surprise! The place is lovely. Older building restored with style and tastefully populated with an eclectic mix of artwork. The beds were comfortable with cloud-like comforters. Brendan and his business partner Lionel were helpful without being intrusive in any way. Breakfast was very good - good...

Swan House never disappoints. The house itself is gorgeous - so comfortable and stylish and Brendan is the most charming and friendly of hosts. We were made to feel so welcome and absolutely nothing was too much trouble. The B&B is set in the heart of the historic Old Town of Hastings and there are quirky shops, great bars and...

My parents were staying in the suite and at the last minute asked if my boyfriend and I would like to join them if they could get the other room attached to the suite. This was no trouble and the room was made up for us. We arrived a little later than anticipated due to bad traffic on the A21...

Brendan's Swan House is in old town Hastings, location area for FOYLES WAR. He has taken care of the parking problem with spaces at a car park nearby. A short walk accesses the sea front and there are a number of good restaurants at easy striking distance.Comfort sofas in front of the large (working) fireplace provide a most amenable chat and...

We last visited Swan House in August, booked again for January, and finding ourselves with a night to spare at the beginning of half term, headed back for a night. This time we had the Garden Room, perfect for an autumnal stay as its cosiness enveloped us - esp as my partner had the teacher half term lurgy. With Brendan...

Brendan was a warm and thoughtful host. The living room, with it's grand fireplace, couldn't be snugger. Our room was beautifully put together. Breakfast was splendid and the location was perfect for exploring the old town.

We stayed with Brendan at The Swan House with some friends for a long weekend and had the best time. The rooms were beautiful and very well stocked with just about anything you may have needed and then some. We were made to feel like friends rather guests and the service was excellent, nothing was too much trouble. We would...
