I stayed in the annexe at Garden Cottages which was just fine and just so much nicer than a hotel room. Spotlessly clean, an interesting selection of books to set you up for a visit to Lewes and the Downs and a copy of Vogue for indulgence. My one point for discontent is that the wood blinds don't shut out...

My friend and I arrived to find that I had erroneously booked a double rather than a twin - which was a little awkward as we are not a couple! Our hostess very impressively and kindly offered me an extremely comfortable sofa bed in the TV room, and made up the bed very nicely. Not all hostesses would have done...

Comfortable, peaceful room. Friendly, thoughtful hospitality. Delicious, healthy breakfast. Within safe, easy reach of restaurants in the evening. After check in, I was able to pop back easily to freshen up in between visiting the Grange Gardens, browsing in the antique shops and meeting family and friends.

Spent 3 nights at this B&B with my friend in the twin room. Alison was an excellent host, very welcoming and suggested a variety of restaurants, places to visit and transport options. The room was a good size, clean with ensuite shower. Quiet, which meant a great nights sleep. Lovely breakfast, fresh fruit salad, eggs, cereals etc. Good location near...

Just on the outskirts of Lewes but only a short walk in to this lovely historic town. Very comfortable twin room with modern bathroom. Lovely breakfast with fresh fruit, good coffee and cooked if you wanted. Just what was needed after our 6th day on the South Downs way.

Although this B & B is very close to the town centre it is in a quiet road. Parking requires a council permit available from the friendly and helpful hosts. There are shops and restaurants near by. We had good breakfasts in relaxed surroundings at Garden Cottage. We stayed two nights and enjoyed eating at The Snowdrop in South Street...

This was my second stay and it is very likely I will be going back. It is a quiet, calm and friendly place to stay near The Snowdrop pub and the lower end of the High Street. Very pleasant owners, Alison and Vladimir.

We have stayed at Garden Cottage, either with friends or just ourselves, on three occasions now when we have been attending the opera at nearby Glyndebourne. Alison is a perfect host and we will be booking in again next year. Garden Cottage is a pleasant ten minute walk into the centre of Lewes past antique shops and interesting food shops....

Tucked away in a quiet corner, yet only minutes from shops, restaurants and pubs. Charming small b&b, relaxed and friendly. Choice of separate double suite with great bathroom and its own entrance, or flexible room in main part of cottage. Good breakfast including fresh fruit salad, cooked options if requested. Welcoming hosts Alison and Vladimir made our stay very comfortable.
