The staff were very friendly. We later learnt its a real family business which showed in their attention to detail. Our room was lovely. All newly refurbished and beautifully themed. Our car was parked literally outside. The food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. They have got it right on all fronts.

What a find! Really great landlord and landlady who both work very hard to make everything right here. Highly trained and very helpful staff at both dinner and breakfast, a very good team all a credit to the owners. We stayed in the Ruby Room and it was clean and the bed large and very comfortable, with a large walk...

The room itself was beautiful, loved the character of the historic building , tastefully decorated , low door frames, everything you would expect from a gorgeous old building as this. Unfortunately this time round, the champagne suite was already booked, as was the ruby room, so we opted...

We stayed in Ruby, at the front of the hotel. Although overlooking the road it is not noisy, and no problem getting to sleep. Really large room in comparison to usual hotel size. Excellent breakfast, and nice to have tea and coffee in room, and bottled water too. Oh and scrummy biscuits! Really nice toiletries, and good size bath towels....

We booked at short notice and our room was in the log cabin! Although short on attractive view it is otherwise an excellent choice for 4 people wanting a short or longer stay. Initially a bit cold( at the end of a very complex cold week), the heaters proved effective and we were soon comfortable. The decor is seaside chic...
