Stayed here on 23rd April for the night as a birthday gift. Room was lovely and clean. Had a few drinks in the bar area which was lovely. There was a great choice at breakfast including continental or cooked. Great stay and we will be back.

Took my wife here for a nights stay, which was largely a great place to stay in Rye. We were in a well appointed apartment which had everything you would need. Free parking and nice views. Had dinner there which was pleasant enough although we had lunch earlier in the day at the George Inn which had a better feel...

Myself and my partner spent the bank holiday in Rye as we'd never been there before and through we would dive in and immerse ourselves in it's charm, history and intrigue!! The Hope & Anchor provided the absolute perfect place to visit Rye. It is right in the citadel, you have to drive through Rye's ancient streets in order to...

I just love this place for a Sunday lunch! The staff are all so welcoming and the food is fantastic quality and very reasonably priced. We have been a few times now and always book the private dining room which is great when you have small children, beautifully laid out and home from home. Thank you!

Nice hotel in lovely location in central rye with great views. We stayed in a quirky little cottage and we were very.comfortble. With the travel zoo deal it made the stay great value. Breakfast was good, but was spoilt by using the cheapest bread and extremely indifferent coffee

Had a super one night stay at the Hope Anchor Hotel. Dinner and Breakfast were both first class and the staff were friendly and extremely obliging. The multi-tasking receptionist who checked us in appeared later behind the bar and took great trouble over the clarity of the local bitter after the barrel had been changed to a new one. Terrific...

We had a two night break here and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves . Rye is a very quaint town with the hotel being on one of the cobbled streets at the top of the town.Once we had found out how to navigate the streets we found it easier when returning after our days out . The residents parking permit is very...

We booked 2 nights for B&B with Travelzoo in this hotel. The staff were warm and friendly and the more senior staff were very efficient and multi-tasking and so obliging. Special thanks to Hannah and Chris. Our room was a "small twin" at the top of the house - room 21. The bedroom was spacious with good storage but the...

This was a night's stay whilst on a journey. Our reception was very friendly, the hotel exceedingly pleasant, looking like it's been recently renovated. The small bar was cosy and the room 26, exceedingly pleasant and well appointed. The bathroom whilst small and without a bath, which didn't matter to us, was well set out. Breakfast was a very enjoyable...

We've just returned from a 3-night stay in The Hidden Treasure Cottage, separate from the main hotel, which is very quaint and quiet with good central heating and tea and coffee-making facilities provided; the only gripes I have are with the bed, which I found too small and not very comfortable and the layout of the bathroom which makes wet-shaving...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Although famous for its past, the Hope Anchor is known locally for its stunning views across the Quayside, Romney Marshes, Camber Castle and beyond to the sea. Most of our rooms enjoy these panoramic views and to be honest they need to be seen to be believed. Although beautiful all year round the sunsets in summer bring locals young and old to enjoy alfresco dining accompanied of course with a glass or two of wine! ... more   less
