Stayed 1 night on a groupon deal in march. We were given the junior suite on arrival which was spacious and very clean. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and the full English tasty. It was very good value for money and would be happy to return at the full price. It is very central. Would...

We stayed in the "Little Treasure" cottage just around the corner from the main hotel. Small living room with a smaller kitchen (fridge, sink, no cooker) off downstairs, Bedroom and bathroom upstairs. All rather nice; we like our own space and this was more of a holiday cottage (with room cleaning service and breakfast done for you) than a hotel...

The hotel has a small pub and a dinner / breakfast room. Stayed for one night only. Breakfast was pretty decent. Location was right in the centre of town and we had good views . We stayed in the attic and it was difficult to have a bath let alone a shower as the roof was very low. The TV...

We were here on a voucher deal, for one night. The staff are very helpful and friendly, especially Chris, who, amongst other areas, serves in the bar. The room was fine, the food was good (both dinner and breakfast). Parking is a bit tight/limited, but the hotel gave us a free pass and we managed to park right outside -...

An interesting historic hotel. It was however cramped particularly the en-suite toilet and shower. There were quite a lot of annoying jobs that needed doing to the room, we gave up after reporting the leaking shower tray. On a plus the views were amazing, the food very good as were the general staff, but we wouldn't stay there again. Rye...

A very good hotel in a great location in Rye, and I got a very reasonable rate (it was a Friday). The staff were friendly and helpful, answering all my questions courteously and efficiently. The location is great. You can walk to everywhere from the hotel. It is at the end of a cul-de-sac, so no passing traffic. My room...

Had a wonderful 2 night stay at the end of January 2017. The hotel is situated in a perfect position overlooking Rye Harbour and beyond. Everything that Rye has to offer is on the doorstep. Our suite was very spacious and had a stand alone bath in the room. Staff were friendly and helpful. Tasty cooked breakfasts with a good...

We stayed on a two night midweek half board break in one of the four poster rooms. Parking was available outside on the road and the hotel is located a short walk from the town centre. The room was very comfortable and the restaurant, while not fine dining, had a good choice of well cooked and presented food. my wife...

The hotel is right at the top of the town with wonderful views towards Rye Harbour and Winchelsea and two minutes walk from the church and the picturesque square that surrounds it. The evening meal is excellent, particularly the Romney Marsh Lamb and the locally caught fish. The hotel has for a long time been the number one ranked hotel in...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Although famous for its past, the Hope Anchor is known locally for its stunning views across the Quayside, Romney Marshes, Camber Castle and beyond to the sea. Most of our rooms enjoy these panoramic views and to be honest they need to be seen to be believed. Although beautiful all year round the sunsets in summer bring locals young and old to enjoy alfresco dining accompanied of course with a glass or two of wine! ... more   less
