A quaint, friendly place with excellent food. We had the moules, which were locally caught apparently, they were juicy and plump. As for the chocolate mousse mmmmm! This was the perfect place for a relaxing Sunday lunch. Pop in if you are in Rye.

What a fantastic place, one of the best pubs I have ever visited. Right in the centre of Rye. Retro, quirky and dog friendly, what more could you ask. Staff fabulously friendly, the menu was small, neat and excellent, you won't be disappointed!

We stayed Sat and Sun night with our two dogs... Luna and Mitzi - miniature schnauzers! The welcome was great right from the start for us, and the dogs, and we felt we were going to be fine here. Room... nicely decorated with good bathroom ... not noisy but bring your dog beds. Good toiletries from Burts Bees and good...

We had a lovely meal in this pub during half term with our two children. The lady serving us was very helpful and friendly, and found us a table even though they were fully booked for Sunday lunch. There was a good choice for children and for adults too. The decor was modern and clean and had lots of quirky...

Stayed here as they welcome dogs and had a fabulous time. Staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendly, nothing was to much trouble. Accommodation is quirky but more than adequate. We chose to have dinner in the pub as Our dog Ernie was welcome and the food was great. Ernie was thoroughly spoils by the staff with dog treats...

This is one of the cheaper places to stay in Rye. That said, it still offers a good standard of comfort. The building itself is an old one, so there are limits to what can be done. To over-modernise it would be wrong as it would destroy the character of the building. The style of the rooms is therefore suited...
