We spent one night at the Sun Inn and really enjoyed it. The pub is cosy and comfortable. Our room wasn't big, but it was charmingly decorated and spotlessly clean. Lots of creaky floorboards, which added to the charm. We were pleasantly surprised both by dinner and by breakfast . Excellent, elegant food and a lot of choice, and the...

HD a wonderful meal and one night stay at The Sun Inn. The room was really lovely over looking the church. The pub itself was very homely with roaring fires and comfy seating. The deal gave us one night and breakfast with a meal on them free. The food in the restaurant was first class very unexpected. We thought it...

My wife and I spent yesterday at the sun inn and had a fantastic day. We'd booked a deal which included dinner, bed, breakfast and bar lunch for just over £200. Wot a bargain and what a great place to unwind. The food , especially the pulled pork sandwich that we both had, was unbelievable and in the evening I...

Lovely old pub, lots of old wood uneven narrow stairs and floors that go with properties this age, I love old things!! Immaculately clean, well equipped rooms. Very comfortable beds. Food well cooked and nicely presented with quirky choices. Great selection of real ales and massive wine list to suit most tastes and pockets!! Staff friendly and couldn't have been...

This was our third visit to the Sun Inn and it was every bit as good as before, if not better due to the refurbished room. We chose Elsa which was very roomy with comfortable bed and furniture and a good sized bathroom. The refurbishment has done nothing to destroy the character and history of the room, as some of...

We needed a place to stay following a function at a nearby restaurant. The room was spacious, we had only breakfast but it was very good. The staff, Roman especially were very helpful. We noticed that the pub was frequented by many regulars, a good sign and handy for Flatford Mill

Went for lunch : Good selection of dishes on the menu. The wine list was decent considering we are in a lovely village on the border of Norfolk/Essex county. Strongly recommend if you are in the area. The staff was attentive though prices were slightly above what I consider the norm. Plenty of space to park in the high street...

Don't be put off when entering the Bar of the Sun Inn. It will probably be noisy with laughter and it also doubles as 'Reception' for those staying. The bedrooms are quirky, old and very well fitted out. Those in the front are right opposite the church whose clock chimes loud hours all night, but there is one at the...

We nipped in and enjoyed a pint of Adnams Broadside beer in the rear garden on a hot sunny afternoon, whilst the ladies were shopping. The pub restaurant looked very homely and was fairly busy. We spoke to a couple who were staying here and eating on the patio area, they spoke very highly about the food and accommodation. We...
