My main concern after visiting was the advance asking price of £50 per head for three people for what was a distinctly average meal. The prawn cocktail and soup starters were small and unremarkable, the champagne sorbet, altho' merely a palate-cleanser, was pretty much a non-event. The main course - turkey or beef with all the trimmings - was adequate...

Booked a table for eleven of us all seemed well, we all sat down to our table, we were then told by a member of staff that they were out of certain items on the menu which was fine, we then ordered drinks only to find dirty glasses with lip stick still left around the edge of glass I then...

My wife and I were headed to an AirBnB in Bourton-on-the-Water, but were unable to locate it or reach the owner. We stopped in at the Duke of Wellington while we tried to sort things out. The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating to us. Siobahn took it upon herself to help us try and find our...

Booked months ago so we could eat on Christmas switch on night. The food was quite basic and it was manic as you'd expect but the staff worked hard. Would like to go when calmer. Some others were rude waiting in such a way to make you uncomfortable and this wasn't tackled which was disappointing.

We stayed for one night and ate dinner in the pub. The staff were great, a really friendly welcome from Hannah when we arrived and good service for dinner and breakfast. The bedrooms are due for refurbishment so were a little tired but comfortable and good value for what we paid. Great location in the middle of Bourton-on-the-Water and nice...

We came to rest and recuperate and it worked. The staff in this pub are the best - all of them. Polite, helpful, friendly. The room was small, but had everything we needed and it all worked and was clean. The food was hearty and well cooked - both breakfast and evening meal. .Prices are very reasonable - and winter...

We stay in Bourton every year and always look forward to meals and drinks at The Duke. This year was no exception, but had the Best Meal Ever on our last night. Thank you Hannah and all the staff for not only a great family party earlier in the week, but a superb send off meal! Look forward to seeing...

A very small room but a really lovely bed and bedding and slept well! Although recently refurbished was still in need of more work but this didn't affect our stay. Food very good and reasonably priced and breakfast great, although not much choice of cereals (3) and juice (1). Staff amazingly friendly and nothing too much work. We would stay...

We booked this hotel mainly because of the details on the website which we now know were misleading. Whilst we knew that the bedrooms were described as 'bijou' we expected them to have been 'recently refurbished' as described, so we thought two nights in a smallish room would be o.k. The two rooms we booked (two couples) were indeed small...
