We read very good reviews of this pub and we didn't want to eat in the brasserie, the Italian or the pub in the centre, so we walked the 7 minutes away from the centre of town. It was well worth this minor effort and the food was so good that we were glad of the walk back! We found...

Yesterday my partner and I attempted to buy a drink here. I say attempted because we were stopped at the doors on entrance by 3 employees and told they were not open until 20 minutes time. When I said no problem we would come back we were informed that they were fully booked for mothers day lunch and would not...

Came here during Cheltenham festival week and had a great stay. I was in room 4 which was upstairs above the bar, you could hear some sounds from the bar/restaurant but it was by no means noisy. The room was clean and had a good sized bathroom with shower. Breakfast was the highlight of the stay and the full English...

Stopped here purely because we couldn't find a parking spot in the main part of town.. and with only 10 mins before the food service stopped. Served a decent selection of beers and had a lovely crayfish salad. If the salad was anything to go by, I would imagine the food is of a good standard overall. Dog not allowed...

Two night stay - the room was a little small but comfortable - the one possible downside were the creaky floorboards which might annoy some people. After walking round the village looking at all the options, settled on eating in the pub both nights - not disappointed. Specials changed both nights, good value and very tasty. Great short break in...

We had dinner here when staying in the area and everyone enjoyed their meals. The starters were delicious and we all cleared our plates. The decor is a bit tired but to be honest we went for the food not the atmosphere and weren't disappointed. The staff were also lovely. Would definitely recommend.
