A small yet classy and stylish hotel right in the heart of Cheltenham hence great location in the Midlands. Spacious, cosy and well decorated rooms with all mod cons and more. Very tastefully decorated with an accurate combination of old and contemporary so spot on. Public areas, restaurant, reception as well as the rooms clean and tidy at all times.... More

We first met at a cafe (Moka) just around the corner from Willoughby House and I really wanted to bring my wife back to celebrate our first anniversary. We couldn't have chosen better. Location - central, historic, beautiful, with free and easy parking. Room - classical period feel, bed comfortable. Staircase - wonderful with a unique bannister which is worth... More

We had a really enjoyable stay. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was stunning and full of character and is based in a lovely part of Chelmsford. The breakfast is also superb. A great place for a romantic weekend away.

Accommodating staff and very nice rooms. The breakfast was also very good -- they even prepared a few items for us to eat when we left early our last day for LHR. The staff helped us find some local places we needed to visit, and pointed us in the right direction for dinners. The parlor and honor-system "bar" are good... More

Stunning room in this small friendly hotel. None of the bars or restaurants that establishments like The Crown or Hotel du Vin boast but great rooms in a stunning period house. Four poster beds and spa baths make this a fine base in a perfect location.

Stayed one night over a weekend and everything good. Very comfortable bed (Willoughby Suite), nice aspect and well appointed. Slightly dated decor (notwithstanding it is a Georgian building) and surprisingly no shaver socket, however these are minor quibbles. It is well placed for the shops and restaurants, and does seem to be a very pleasant area. Recommended.

We stayed just for one night to extend the "holiday feeling" before returning to work in early Sept. We were kindly upgraded to the four poster suite on the ground floor together with a spacious bathroom and even a twin room off (luckily had no need to exile snoring husband). Although I was a little concerned that we'd be disturbed... More
