A lovely Cotswold stone Hotel in the quaint village of Stratton, only a short distance from Cirencester. We had a very nice room which had not been updated yet. The Hotel is undergoing renovation works although this did not effect our stay. Dinner was excellent and my husband thought breakfast the best he had tasted.

Dear Sharon Thank you for your feedback, I am delighted you had a great stay with us and found your room pleasant. I have passed on your comments to the team, especially the head chef and his team regarding dinner and breakfast. He spends time sourcing fresh, local produce and they prepare amazing dishes (even if we do say so...

All staff were very friendly and at tentative without being in your face. The rooms were clean and spacious but the decor was very dated and the floors were extremely squeaky! Loved that it is a dog friendly hotel and that all the guests seemed to be very accepting of our pooch. The food was outstanding and as a real...

Dear Tracy I am delighted with your comments, thank you so much. It's great to read you had a welcoming stay with us and so did your pooch! I have passed on all of your comments to the team, especially to our head chef about the food. I'm glad you enjoyed the Beef Wellington, its a new dish on the...

Interior and the decoration of rooms is very old and out dated, shower was either scolding or freezing. Location was good and food (dinner and breakfast) was delicious although menu was fairly limited.

Thank you for your review regarding your recent stay. We are delighted you found the food very good and that our location is also good. We are currently going through an exciting refurbishment programme that will see all our bedrooms, public areas and restaurant completely updated by the Autumn and it would be great to have the opportunity of welcoming...

We didn't stay here, as my parents live locally, but the Sunday lunch is excellent value and very good quality. Just £17 for three courses, it's a refreshing change from many Cotswold gastropubs charging this much for one course! Service is good, and while it's true the hotel is about to be refurbished and modernised, this didn't detract from very...

Staid there with the 2 night deal over Friday and Saturday. The building is beautiful and well kept, about 20 minutes walk from the town centre. Stepping inside the hotel, was like going back to the 70's. The decor and furniture are very tired but cute in a way. The rooms were good size, clean, in the same decor as...

Set just outside Cirencester this is an ideal hotel to explore the Cotswolds. The hotel was under referbishment but in no way did it affect our stay. The staff are very friendly and I have to say the food was very good. We were in room 39 and was very comfortable and clean. This hotel has only one down side...

Had to stay near bristol and got a deal for 2 nights B&B with 2 course meal and prosecco on 1st night. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food lovely. Substantial breakfasts. Hotel undergoing refurbishment and although still looks very tired in places it is spotlessly clean so cant fault it for the price. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely time at this hotel. Great food in the masters restaurant, huge breakfast, friendly and helpful staff made this a pleasant stay. There was building work going on, which was discreetly carried out, as the hotel is undergoing refurbishment. Only slight downsides were the slightly dated bedroom and lack of wifi reach to our room.

I was a little worried after reading some previous reviews, but I need not have worried. What a lovely place for afternoon tea with my mother. Yes, we were the only people eating but it was 3 in the afternoon. We were in the dining room, which had wonderful views of the beautiful garden. The tea was amazing and we...
