A lovely hotel, magnificent views and superb restaurant. I booked via Saga and got an incredible deal, bottle of wine in room, excellent evening meal and full breakfast. Service was excellent and they catered for my lactose issues with an additional and unexpected starter plus slightly amended menu. My partner loved it, she disappeared for a while investigating the building...

Lovely old stately home in it's own grounds. Large and spacious restaurant / bar / library / reception. Plenty of Outdoor seating areas to enjoy the grounds. Clean and tidy and professionally run. It is an old building and the decor is in keeping with it's heritage. As with old buildings there are some creeks and groans but that adds...

The staff were so friendly & helpful. Food was worthy of a Michelin star. My Wife and I have just had a 2 night break here. The welcome from the staff was overwhelming, so friendly. A special mention for Imre from Hungary, who seemed to pop up doing everything, greeted us every day with a smile and helped us with...

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night, we managed to get a package deal with dinner and a spa treatment. The receptionist was very helpful and gave us a lovely room with a view. The service in the restaurant was excellent, the food was very good, well presented and of a high level of quality. We used the spa...

I have wanted to stay at this hotel for many years and when a great deal came up for dinner bed and breakfast i thought we would give not a go. It pains mean to rate the hotel as poor. As others have noted overall the place would benefit from some TLC and I would imagine lots of investment. I...

Excellent service from the moment we checked in. The restaurant served great food and our waiters were very friendly. Our room was large and very comfortable and a bottle of fizz waiting for us. Only downside was that a pool wasn't available but we were aware before booking. Overall highly recommend.
