We LOVE this place, menu has changed since last visited but amazing. Went on Saturday lunch time, excellent and friendly service throughout, had the Chicken New Mexico - mouth-watering spicy, fresh side salad and chips and a Pepsi to wash it down. Couldn't fault anything about service or quality of food. Very family and dog friendly place........definitely a place to...

Visited as a one night B&B after a party in central Stroud. Clean basis en-suite twin-bedded room above the bar was just what I needed and great value for the rate. Bar was rammed and noisy when I checked in around 7pm but cleared promptly by midnight when I returned. Worth bearing in mind if you want an early night....

Ate here recently as part of a larger party. Building is a fantastic old stone building plenty of parking and a little children's play area with outdoor seating ideal for sunny summer evening. The interior decor was classy and the feel in the bar was friendly however this is where the welcome stopped after going through into another room, I...

Drinks prices very reasonable, there was a band on when we returned and they finished playing just after 11pm, not our cup of tea but others...

The food at this inn is fantastic and at a really competitive price. The service was great and the staff extremely pleasant. Lunch at The Clothiers Arms made our visit to Stroud a very enjoyable and pleasant experience. We will certainly be visiting this inn again in the future.

Very disappointed with the food ~ the Stroud brewery beer was good! Beer battered cod and chips ~ if this fish had ever seen beer then I'd be amazed. The batter was a thin layer of substance that appeared to have been spread onto the fish at some freezer factory. It was nothing like beer battered cod. The few chips...

A friend has moved here recently so a 4 rating restaurant down the road looked like a good result for our first visit. How wrong. The pub was busy and our reservation in the restaurant was near the doors to the bar, nice atmosphere and real buzz all round. Young guy quickly got us sat down and talked us through...

Great value for money, lovely food and friendly staff. Service was very slow to begin with as we were seated and not given menus or offered drinks for about 15mins! It was all uphill from there though and we will definitely be visiting again. We paid £36 for a starter, two mains and two alcoholic drinks each.
