Arrived at 8:30pm on a weekday to a warm welcome and fast check-in. The bedroom (9) was large and comfortably furnished - the huge four-poster with six pillows certainly added the wow factor. The bathroom was spacious and immaculate. The bar had a roaring log fire and the dining room was softly lit with beautiful wood panelling taking you back... More

The hotel which is set in the centre of Tetbury has a definite air of a classic English hotel. The decor is very Victorian romantic hunting setting and room which we were in was large and comfortable. There is no car park for the hotel but there is a 'Pay and Display' which is located close to the rear of... More

After having been extremely disapointed by the Hotel I was booked into by my employer I was searching for another and by pure luck found the Snooty Fox. This was one of the cleanest (we swiss are manic about hygiene and cleanliness) rooms I have ever had in a hotel in UK. In the meantime I have been back a... More

After an absence of nearly a year, I returned to the Snooty Fox to be warmly welcomed by Chloe, the head receptionist and Marc, the manager. Fred, Marc's dog had sadly died but has been replaced by George who gave me a snooty welcome! The beers were as good as ever, the log fire burning brightly and the staff had... More

We don't usually venture into £100+ territory for an overnight stay, but we were tempted to hope that the special offer of midweek dinner, bed and breakfast in superior room would be good value - and so it was! For £125 (NB all drinks extra) we had a tranquil, clean bedroom and separate sitting area with tasteful decor, and whirlpool... More

We stayed for two nights in a superior room (Cotswold). The bed was comfortable and bathroom clean and spacious, but with just two small windows it was rather dark. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice and very friendly service. We ate in the restaurant one evening and found it a little disappointing, with small portions after a busy outdoor... More

We had a 3 night "Mini-moon" stay at the Snooty Fox to celebrate our wedding, as we were unable to take a proper honeymoon at the time. We were fortunate to be able to take up a very generous offer which included bed and breakfast, and dinner, a bottle of champagne on arrival and a cream tea on one of... More

The bar and resteraunt were gorgeous, staff friendly and food good. Yet I do feel the price we payed for the room (£140) was expensive for what it was. The room was quite small and slightly shabby, although reading other reviews it does sound as if rooms differ in size quite a lot! It did have a lovely central location... More

‘Famous coaching inn at the heart of Tetbury’ ‘The Snooty’ is all that a quintessential English inn should be. Its 12 bedrooms are intimate and stylish, while its ground floor boasts a very popular bar and restaurant. British food and an excellent wine list complete the picture. Tetbury with its royal heritage, is ideal for browsing for antiques and exploring the local area. ‘The Snooty’ is located at the heart of this bustling market town and is a popular destination for many locals and day visitors to the area. The bar offers a tempting range of real ales, local ciders and a selection of Ports, Cognacs, Calvados and Armagnac’s all personally selected by the manager. The hotel is renowned locally for the quality and variety of its food offer, from coffee and cakes in the morning, leisurely lunches, traditional afternoon teas to candlelit dinners and wholesome bar snacks. The Grafton Room located towards the rear of the hotel is an ideal venue for private dining, family celebrations and small discreet meetings.Yet one reason why The Snooty Fox is a great favourite with visitors to this most Royal part of Gloucestershire is the intimacy and style of the bedrooms.
