We had three nights in Cecil cottage. First the good news - Malcolm is a nice helpful chap and very welcoming and chatty, good location and seems to be cheaper than close competition. We booked Cecil Cottage because it was remommended in Lonely Planet. We had arranged to drop off our luggage as we wanted to spend the day sightseeing. We were offered a cup of tea which was good. We were shown in to the lounge which was really the owners lounge. It stank od stale cigarette smoke. We paid cash in...

I spent a night here with my husband and daughter and found it very good value, in a great location on the edge of the harbour. I have mixed views on Cecil Cottage. On the positive side, Cecil Cottage is located just yards away from The Point that overlooks the Spinnaker Tower located across the water.
