My husband and I stayed here for one night at the start of April whilst attending a wedding and were very happy with our stay. The room was very comfortable, tastefully and prettily decorated and with a very comfy bed we slept really well in. Tea and coffee in the room were provided and - this is maybe just me...

Another working day away from home, another guest house. Once again my wife did the interweb work and located The Mayfair as appropriate for a business trip to Netley. The Mayfair is located in an area of Southampton to the south of the common and around 30 mins stroll to the shops of West Quay and 15 mins from the...

This has got to be one of the very best places we have stayed at, we had a fantastic double en suite room at the top of the house which was very comfortable and clean and the breakfast was to die for. The hosts Mark and Andy were superb thanks again to them.

We booked as we were going to a friends 40th birthday party just around the corner. On arrival (yesterday) we received a lovely warm greeting before being shown to our our gorgeous room. The room included a huge bed, glorious laundered linen, powerful hot shower and everything was so clean and fresh, completely faultless. We would have loved to have...

I recently stayed here with a colleague. After a long drive, the guest house was welcoming and warm and the owners were very friendly and relaxed. They took time to talk to us and make sure we had everything we need. I would recommend this stay to anyone - great value for money. A peaceful and organised stay, with careful...

We booked a 2 night stay at this guest house as we had tickets for the Mayflower theatre which is about a 10 min walk away. Excellent accommodation which is spotlessly clean. The owners Mark and Andy are so friendly and greeted us with a welcome cup of tea on arrival plus plenty of information on finding our way into...

Thank you so much for your lovely review but I'm a tad disappointed that you think Andy cooked your breakfast!! You most definitely have our names mixed up!! We are really pleased you enjoyed your stay though. With warm regards, MARK (and Andy, the chef)

My partner & I have just returned from a lovely weekend in Southampton. He booked the Mayfair as a surprise & it was perfect from start to finish! From being greeted with a cup of tea on arrival (at 10pm!) to checking out & re-booking for a stay in July, it was an absolute delight. Immaculate rooms, delicious breakfast (with...
