Had a small wedding celebration at The Old Vine with Ashton and his team looking after us all. They did a fantastic job and really helped us throughout the whole event. The private dining room provided a great atmosphere for our small party and The Old Vine were very relaxed about us decorating the room. Nothing was too much trouble and our suite for the evening - The Design House - was a lovely, spacious room with great views over the green and cathedral. To hear the cathedral bells on Sunday morning was an added treat along with the complementary fizz in the room for the wedding - thank you. We highly recommend The Old Vine for a small party / celebration, if you work with the team there you can make it really special as we did. Something we will treasure always. Thank you The Old Vine and all the folks that helped make it a lovely event.

Helpful staff and AMAZING food. Stumbles in because the outside tables looked inviting. It's hard to find a decent Ploughman's lunch and these guys delivered. Perfect place to stop for lunch after a day of sightseeing. p.s get the sizzling prawns 🤤

Thank you ! A ploughman’s and a pint on a summer’s day is great. Our is made with Maryland’s Cheddar, Dorset Blue Vinney cheeses and Upton’s of Bassett own cured ham. And our homemade piccalilli. And the sizzling prawns!

We were visiting Winchester for our son's University Graduation. The Old Vine was the perfect spot, central for the town centre and two minutes from the Cathedral. We stayed in the Nina Campbell room suitable for a family of 4 and felt the room size and bathroom proportions were very generous. Beautifully furnished and very clean. We were impressed with the quality of towels and complimentary toiletries plus cold drinks in the mini bar which were a God send due to the fact that it was a rare 30 degrees whilst staying in Winchester. Breakfast was available to be taken in our room but we opted to dine in the bar downstairs. Good choices to be had and all well presented. Very cheery staff! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Old Vine and I suspect will return as we've fallen in love with Winchester.

What a lovely place to stay. Right in the heart of Winchester opposite the Cathedral. The room was lovely and spacious and equpped with everything needed. I loved the touch that you could take breakfast in the room at no extra charge. Although we took the option to dine on the terrace at the fron of the hotel. So peaceful in the morning. The staff were professional, helpful and courteous. A special mention to Mitchell who was just the best! Definitely be back again and again

The hotel stay was lovely! Large rooms, charming decor, all the extras like robes and coffee and luxe toiletries, plus delicious daily breakfast included. Really lovely staff, they feel like family. Honestly this place could charge WAY more for what you get with the experience, just come and stay, you won't be disappointed ;)
