I have stayed several times at Somerville House. It has always been very comfortable, with well appointed rooms, friendly staff and a good breakfast. It is close (but not too close) to the city centre. Hereford itself is well worth visiting with highlights including the Cathedral, the Cathedral Close, the Butter Market and the Mappi Mundi. Mind you I am...

We spent an wonderful weekend at Somerville House and enjoyed staying in a large well equipped double room overlooking the garden. The ensuite shower/bathroom was excellent with plenty of warm towels and a good supply of toiletries. Rosie and Bill were consummate hosts and gave us light refreshments on arrival. The breakfasts were a delight. The competent and clean cooking...

We had an excellent room overlooking the pretty garden at the back. Big comfy bed and a decent mira shower. Tempting mini bar with local wines and ciders. Checking in and out was painless. Good location with the cathedral only about a mile away. Superb breakfast with locally sourced ingredients. I can personally recommend the whisky marmalade.

Greeted by a very pleasant receptionist, Somerville House was a fantastic single night stay. The parking was adequate, the room itself was clean and private with a well stocked mini bar. Checkout was effortless and all services were clearly provided and listed in the Guest book. Location is 5-7 mins walk from local Morrisons supermarket. Would certainly recommend if you...

Chosen from Trip Advisor ratings and certainly didn't disappoint. Staff were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent. We would certainly stay there again. Very convenient to walk into Hereford.

Nice house, clean room with convenient amenities, good breakfast made with local produce (an essential feature of any Herefordshire guest house), limited parking facilities meant having to leave car on side road

My wife and I had a long weekend here recently and had a great time we were well looked after and felt very welcome. My wife had a bad back and they kindly moved us to a more accessible room which was very much appreciated. Thanks

My partner and I stayed at Somerville House after visiting Chase Distillery for a vodka tasting and tour. We were upgraded to a luxury room on arrival and had a lovely big bed and beautiful bathroom with freestanding bath. Everything was excellent for our stay, the room, helpful staff and lovely breakfast with homemade jams. We would certainly recommend this...

Dear Nicki P, Thank you for taking the time to post a review about Somerville House. I am glad that you enjoyed the facilities of your upgraded room - we usually try to offer this if a more luxury room available on the day of arrival. I never used to make jam until I had a B&B and now it...

Stayed for two nights, owners and staff very helpful, clean rooms and good tea / coffee facilities. Well stocked mini bar with very reasonable charges. Free Wi-Fi is provided throughout the building. They do however have more rooms than car parking spaces and the car spaces they have are very tight.

Dear iamSteveRoberts, Many thanks for your very kind review. I am delighted you enjoyed your stay and appreciated our efforts to make you comfortable. We have this week upgraded the wifi to the latest hi-tech so it will be even better! I take your point about the carpark, but strangely, everyone usually fits in as some people come by train,...

Good breakfast, selection of fruit, cereals, yoghurt plus cooked breakfast selection of locally produced food. 15 minutes walk into the centre of Hereford so very convenient...
