Amenities and décor was modern but yet in keeping with the olde worlde environment and historic nature of the town and the hotel building. Bed was large and very comfortable. Little touches like shortbread biscuits and hot chocolate sachet was very welcome....

My wife and myself had Christmas dinner here and it was faultless. Our 10 month-old son slept through the first two courses, which was a complete bonus! Three courses for just under £50 and worth every penny. There were some lovely options but we went for risotto balls & rabbit terrine to start, turkey & venison for main, and creme...

I stayed on my own and the staff made may stay very comfortable and were very welcome and accommodating. There is no car park onsite, but I was...

This is a very old building with lots of 17th century wood panelling situated in the centre of this historic town which is well worth a visit. We stayed one night in a superior room in the new extension. The room was excellent - very new and clean with plenty of space; the accessible wet room was also enormous (see...
