For me the PROs outweighed the CONs => 4* (See how you feel). PRO - 15th century house, very likeable and helpful staff. CON - 15th century house - not always easy to manage windows heating etc. PRO - All mod cons - WIFI, dvd, etc. PRO - Easy access (5 -10 minutes walk) to centre of Canterbury. CON -...

It takes a lot for me to give a five star review but House of Agnes hit every nail on the head so it's only right that I give them that feedback. Firstly, I chose them based on TripAdvisor reviews and I wasn't disappointed. From the efficient correspondence in the booking process and then the warm and friendly greeting on...

We spent three nights here while travelling around southern England from Australia and were nicely surprised by House of Agnes. As has been said previously it is in easy walking distance of central Canterbury and all that this city has to offer being the Cathedral, St Martins and the Tudor Gardens, St Augustines which is on the way to St...

From quintessential rooms to the fluffiest towels, great breakfasts to welcoming staff this charming small hotel has it all. Close proximity to good rail links and regular buses make travel easy. A stay here is a definite must for the history buff

It is tempting not to add just another glowing 5* review to the annals of the House of Agnes, but honesty prevents any such diversion. We were initially tempted for our single night trip to the city to opt for what, on the surface looked like a more upmarket choice. Having read the various reviews however it seemed very hard...

We stayed here for two nights with two other couples. The rooms in the main house including the stable rooms in the grounds were beautiful and clean and had everything you could need including bottled water which you don't always get in hotels. What really makes this place thoe is the owner and the staff who go out of their...

We have just returned from a weekend break. Being keen cyclists we thought we would try out this hotel as it was close to the route. We stayed in the outside newly built stables but were given a chance to look around the main house. If available book Paris room simply stunning - our 'stable' had everything you needed though....

Best value rooms are the Stables that open in front to the gardens. Very nice, individually decorated rooms cost a bit more in the main hotel but with it. Best aspects: it's clean, it's privately run, parking is free, the honesty bar is fairly priced with a small but great selection. Cannot say enough good things, genuine coach house, interesting...

Really enjoyed our 8 day stay. Sandie is a friendly, caring host. Our original room wouldn't work for us, since we have limited mobility and the staircase was narrow and winding. She assigned us a ground floor stable room, making our stay much more comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The staff was great. Stephen was particularly helpful. The location is extremely...
