I stayed here for a meeting at The Spitfire cricket ground conference centre. The first thing you need to know if you are driving is that the name on the building is Old Gate Inn - this is weird when you booked online with Innkeeper's Lodge (which is apparently the chain name.) You enter through the bar and it was...

Stayed here for 2 nights. Free parking and continental breakfast. Super friendly staff. Room was lovely and very very clean. Large selection of tea and coffee etc. On a busy road but we could not hear a single car even with the window open. First night we had a meal. And the look, quantity and taste of the food was...

We stayed at the Innkeepers Lodge Canterbury using Virgin vouchers wed been given, a really lovely atmosphere. Very friendly staff, and very helpful. We got the bus from round the corner into Canterbury and could not fault it. Bedrooms are a bit tired but we enjoyed our stay.

Perfect for our short break. Ideally located next door to park and ride facilities. We just jumped on the bus which literally took a few minutes to Canterbury city centre. Warm and cosy atmosphere, staff friendly and accommodating, we were well looked after by Enda. Our room was very nice, clean and well presented. Good food and wine menu, reasonably...

Stayed here for a business trip with a group of 5 people and were happy with the stay. We arrived about 8:30pm after a long trip from the midlands and greeted by a very funny gentleman who checked us all in and showed us to our rooms. The rooms were very clean and presentable. Quite warm and stuffy though as...

Easy to find and with a large car park, this is situated on the outskirts of Canterbury at the junction of the Old Dover Road and the New Dover Road. Traffic in the centre of Canterbury is a nightmare, but there are plenty of buses on each of the two roads in to town. The welcome was friendly and helpful...

I had visited this place to eat a couple of times beforehand but never knew they had rooms too. Visited and stayed to see a show at the Marlowe with my husband. Upon booking in we were greeted by a lovely gentleman who I assumed was the manager, who showed us to our room. The room was very clean and...

Arrival and registration was smooth and friendly. We were given a brief tour of the dining arrangements for breakfast, then shown to our room. Perfectly sized room, close to town, but just outside the congestion and traffic downtown! Large, off-street parking lot with easy, safe egress. The restaurant/pub had a balanced menu of fish, fowl and beef/lamb. We chose the...

Travelling by car this hotel is placed within easy reach of the M2 and has a bus stop close by across the road for frequent bus service into Canterbury. Alternatively there is Park and Ride next door to the hotel. The staff were very good, as were the meals. The room was clean and spacious with a comfortable bed. Our...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Of all the hotels in Canterbury, few have as many stories to tell as this historic lodge, which has been providing a warm welcome to travellers for almost three centuries. With nine comfy rooms and its own cosy pub serving a menu of hearty, freshly cooked food, it's the perfect place to enjoy some rest and relaxation. Although there's so much to see and do you won't want to put your feet up for too long.Canterbury is one of England's most beautiful cities, and its jewel in the crown is Canterbury Cathedral, which is a pleasant half-hour stroll from the lodge, or just five minutes by car. You can also explore the intriguing shops of King's Mile, take a ghost tour, visit Canterbury University or take a summer boat-trip along the River Stour. There's plenty to keep you busy further afield in Kent, like wildlife spotting in Blean Woods or a day at the seaside in Herne Bay or Whitstable. ... more   less
