Called in advance to check lunch serving times just to make sure. Lunchtime food was very lovely and although no actual childrens menu a portion of sausage and mash was made for them. Good beer selection and friendly staff. Dog welcome in bar area.

The room was comfortable, well equipped. Lovely breakfast, relaxed atmosphere and no worries about getting in late at night. No car park but there's a public one very close, and we got the train. One hour from St Pancras.

First time we've stayed at a Shepard Neame pub/hotel and we were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived to when we left we enjoyed our stay. The staff are very friendly, the food is very good whether its the evening meal or breakfast. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, the bar has various ale's and wine's. We will... More

This was a great place to stay while seeing Canterbury, within walking distance of the coach station and well situated for sightseeing. The room was small but very clean and had tea makings and biscuits as well as bottled water in the room. Breakfast was excellent, many choices. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend The... More

Stayed here in October 2016, rooms clean and have lovely touches such as bottled water in the room. Food in the restaurant is lovely and the staff are very welcome and friendly. We had a small issue with our bathroom that was remedied quickly. Canterbury is lovely and will definitely be back.

Very friendly staff and helpful staff. Room was small but extremely clean and comfortable. What do you expect in a very popular pub very close to the centre of Canterbury, the bridal suite with views of Kilmanjaro!. Huge car park nearby and the £6 for 24 hour stay is a steal. The food was excellent. Dined in on Saturday the... More

Room size was as expected for so close to the city centre but not too small. The shower room was beautifully decorated and functional, great shower! Location was perfect, pub underneath was warm and friendly and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was brill too.

Enjoyed our one night stay here. It is well situated for the city centre and the Marlowe Theatre just a short walk through the park and right by the picturesque mill stream. Pleasant staff, clean and comfortable room and a good breakfast, what more could you want!
