We booked through another website so didn't receive emails we should have about pin codes to get in and more details, so we had to keep ringing the owners. It's purely a room and no one is at the property so more like an air b'n'b property but very expensive for basically a room with no breakfast included and no...

This property is just off the main shopping street and opposite the Marlowe Theatre so an ideal location for anything that you want to do in the city. There is no-one to greet you - you are sent an access code a couple of days beforehand which worked fine for us. The entrance hallway doesn't look great but the room...

Booked this without knowing anything about it, but we were very pleased. Directly across from the Marlowe Theatre and next to the Canterbury Tales pub, there are only two rooms in the house but they are big, both en suite (massive bathrooms) and the kitchen is at your disposal for tea and coffee and so on. Brilliantly situated and very...

The Chaucer House is directly opposite the theatre and incredibly handy for the town centre. You have the use of the kitchen and a couple of living rooms, the thing that did worry me somewhat was the microwave was too close to the sink, I didn't think you should mix electricity and water! We had the upper room which was...

As mentioned by other reviewers this is a great location for exploring Canterbury, you can walk everywhere and parking at Radigunds car park is not expensive if you get the pre-paid voucher. We also found it quiet, despite staying at the weekend. However .... once in the hotel there is scant attention to guest comfort. The rooms are big but...

If you want a good-sized, well kitted-out room in the centre of Canterbury but you're not bothered about hotel amenities such as a lift, a reception etc. this is the place for you. There is no member of staff on site, but there is a phone number you can call. The two nights we stayed, there were other occupants in...

We are regular visitors to Canterbury and usually stay at the Abode hotel. On my last visit the hotel was fully booked so I booked Chaucer House instead. The booking was made through booking.com but soon afterwards I received an e mail from Martin and Shelly with directions and other useful information. This meant I was aware that this was...

Okay! First impressions. The map provided to find the hotel was pretty useless! But being intelligent we did find it after a short stroll, having parked our car in the local car park. St Radigunds - which was extremely good value for money (when booked with the hotel), and ample space. However a reasonably long drag with our case to...

A friend and I stayed here in the upper circle room and we both have to say it was absolutely perfect and we loved it! Firstly for parking in the car park, big tip, there's a short cut through the gardens at the Marlow theatre. Anyway first impressions were great, really central location and easy to find. The house itself...
