Good location, nice and clean and tidy, good breakfast and friendly guys on reception and breakfast. Room was quiet, clean and comfortable and represented good value for money. Only downside was that there was no lounge seating area for guests.

Very friendly and helpful. A lovely room and very comfortable. The breakfast was very nice. In an ideal position with only a 10 minute walk into the centre of Canterbury. At a very reasonable price of £60 for bed and breakfast for a good sized single ensuite room.

Harriet House was a good base for a one week trip to explore Canterbury and district.. We especially enjoyed the riverside walk into the city. The house was attractive, the bedroom was warm and comfortable and the breakfasts were excellent. Terry, our host, was welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. We appreciated the little touches, like chocolates awaiting us on our bed...

It's a very easy 10 minute walk to the cathedral and comes with free parking. Breakfasts are nice and the owner (staff?) is very pleasant. This place is excellent except for a very tight toilet area (room 5 I believe). If you don't spend a lot of time on the toilet, you'll do fine here.

We had a lovely stay at Harriet House! Terry was very friendly and warm, and gave us great suggestions for restaurants and bars in Canterbury (~10 minute walk away). The room was very clean and comfortable, we enjoyed spending time in it. The breakfast he made for us the next morning was absolutely delicious (smoked salmon and eggs, eggs with...

Found the place really easy and it does have car parking available which is a bonus in this area. We booked a 'cosy double', which meant the bed area was only suitable for small people or anyone who has their own crash helmet...very low sloping ceiling! The room was clean and functional, though the shower could do with a power...

Thank you for your very prompt review. We have double checked the room description on the site where you reserved your room. The description clearly explains the sloping ceiling. Our home is not a purpose built hotel block and all our rooms vary in different ways. This is the whole point of staying in an old privately owned house and...

This pleasant guest house is situated a little to the north of Canterbury's bustling city centre. It is set back from a busy main road and at a slightly higher level therefore rooms at the front are affected by traffic noise. Fortunately the road is not very busy overnight and good quality windows keep the noise in the background. Probably,...

Welcoming and Generous. Comfortable and Clean. Kind and helpful Hosts. Lovely outdoor seating. a nice breakfast area with relevant and interesting magazines about Canterbury and its surroundings. one thing that was inconvenient was when I wanted to rest and not go out for dinner, there wasn't any options to snack on; and it is a good walking distance from the...
